As I said in the subject name, don't use this awful awful stuff unless you like having those minis you've spent hours painting falling apart ALL THE TIME. I have only had about 3 or 4 games with my grey knights where they haven't just fallen apart. In my last game my dreadknight lost an arm, and so did his pilot, and 3 terminators ended up in pieces (one arm, one head and one in two halves). Its not like they were being man handled, they just would not stay together. Seriously blue tac would hold better than this junk. I switched to non GW superglue for new stuff and repairs and have had no problems with that.

5000pts 13 wins 1 draws 9 losses

WoC "where the points don't matter" 6 wins 0 draws 4 losses

I have had similar problems with the thick plastic glue. The old plastic melted nicely together and usually broke from somewhere else than the joint. The new shade darker plastic just doesn't melt together the same way and my sanguinary guards have their wings falling off all the time. I have started using miniature paints super glue to fix them when they brake and have not had any problems with it so far.

Yeah, I accidentally dropped a guy on the floor once and he broke into pieces.
These things should be a little tougher than that, not too worried about the paint job with 2 layers of clear coat varnish, but it shouldn't break that easily.

I think sometimes the problem with plastic glue - any plastic glue really - is that one uses too much of it.
However, its much easier to work with when you've got more of it, and its so easy to apply too much.
It doesn't hold together on its own with just a little bit, but just a little bit gives a stronger bond.
Plastic glue is supposed to melt the plastic just a bit, making a sturdy bond. But it doesn't do this so well when there's a big glob of glue.

I've started using super glue and haven't had too many problems with it (other than gluing a piece to my fingers )
One of the problems I've had with super glue is when placing the glue on paint or primer, not to bare plastic.
I've had a piece come off, not because the super glue broke - but because the primer separated from the plastic.
The glue was on the primer, not the plastic, so it wasn't the glue that failed.

There's an episode of Mythbusters about super glue, they show just how super strong it really is.
If the stuff can hold a couch on the ceiling, it can hold the arms on a space marine.

I always use super glue. Plus with the right paint stripper (Super Clean) you can even remove it and break it back down to parts. Works great and also means you don't have to buy more than one kind of glue.

Best glues i have ever used is krazy glue from walmart, comes in a nice little bottle with a brush to brush on the glues. goes on as a transparent purple and drys clear.

To many unpainted models to count.

That's interesting that it fails so easily. Usually plastic glue is absolutely rock solid since it actually melts the plastic together, you aren't relying on the glue itself to hold it.

I used a pot of Testors plastic glue for years, maybe 10 or so years, never had a problem. It was the variety in with the needle nozzle. It ran out recently and I got some Revell plastic glue, again the same needle nozzle style and haven't had a problem. Before that I used various types of plastic glue and have never had anything fall apart on me that couldn't be traced back to incorrect gluing.

Sometimes I use a small dab of superglue on parts that I want to be able to pull apart later simply because superglue, in small quantities, can be broken without damaging the model where as all the plastic glues I've used tend to weld things together much more efficiently.
