Once per game, you can declare a Waaagh, and several units such as Ghazgul and the planes benefit extra from this.
My quick question is: if a weirdboy gives you a free waaagh, does that count for thraka so he has a 2+ invuln and the planes for extra shots?

No, the ork FAQ covers this. The weirdboy ones are normal waaghs, ghaz has his one special one that confers the bonus.

In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

The planes should get the bonus, people have been taking 2 warpheads to get the bonus and rerolls...I haven't seen it faq'd and the planes rule operates on the "normal" waaagh so it should give them depending on what you purchased 18 shots

The Planes get the bonus from normal Waaagh(so including the Wierdboy rolling Waaagh)
Only Ghaz doesn't get his Waaagh bonus as his is special.
