Somewhere dark, cold and scary (A.K.A my mind)

I mean seriously, you can find horses in the Imperial gaurd (rough riders), and the space wolves have wolves, so why not eny dogs.
Where they killed of by diseas or hunted by man.
Where they posesed by chaos and eventualy became flesh hounds.
Or (and probably the more likely answer) are they just not mentioned.

the only reason I'm writting this thread is because I'm bored and if you don't like that then simply don't comment.

The only dogs GW makes are from mordheim and the Men at Arms kit.

And that "cyber-dog" from Inquisitor.

I agree. Dogs need more rep in GW.

Cyber-mastifs are used by the Adeptus Arbities as well as grapplehawks.
Though that's as much as I know about dogs in 40k, I'm sure they are still there and a lot of them too, but no one has written anything about that.

Cats, Dogs, fish, Spehss Gerbils, and so on probly exist.

Cyber Mastiffs (aka cybernetic dogs) are common amoung officers and other forces.

personal army fluff can easily have them.

Cats have been mentioned in a few books. (i can remember "Flesh and Iron" right now)

I would imagine planatary govoners or other richer folks could have aquariums, or personal animals.

Pets are not mentioned often possibly due to being just scenery unless they are attached to a character or play a significant role.

The surest way to find animals in 40k is to look at the names of space marine chapters.

There are Chaos-tainted dogs in both the SW Novels and the Gaunt's Ghosts Novels off the top of my head, so there must be some non-tainted ones hanging around somewhere.

Cyber-Mastiffs have already been mentioned.

Warhammmer 40,000 is a sci-fi tabletop wargame, is it really that surprising that dogs don't appear very frequently? The game has many flaws, but I've never before now encountered anybody who has looked at it and thought "You know what's wrong with this? Not enough dogs, that's what.".

Eye of Terra.

All Felines were sanctioned by the Imperial Inquisition and eliminated forthwith as Xenos spies.

Canines were next, but such action drew protest (distressed howling) from the Space Wolves and the action was limited to "keeping an eye on" them for the forseeable future.

Yep, bored here as well... *snore*

Space Gerbils (or Sphess Gerbils, if you must) needs to be a Space Marines chapter, with Gerbil Guard and Thundergerbils
