Hi guys

I was just wondering, what do you all think the coolest unit in the games is, it could be a hq or anything else, though personally i reckon the hq's look best. I have a few thoughts, but I haven't all of the units, or even many of them.

Thanks

Leman. Russ. Battle. Tank. I can't help but feel all tingly inside everytime I field them. They just look awesome on the board with tons of tiny little guardsmen swarming around them. Plus, I love pie plates

i agree with the leman russ especially, but i was more thinking of the coolest looking model aesthetically by it self, even if it is a terrible model game wise,

I personally love the look of the LRBT, but I can see why others would dislike it. In that case, probably would have to put my money on the sentinel. Always thought they looked really cool, even if I don't use them often.

The current techmarine model. I love it. And now in 6th I'll be fielding it more often. Dark Eldar Lhamean is also an awesome model.

Of course it makes sense. When there are a bunch of BDSM clowns doing Olympic gymnast routines throughout your unit, while also cutting off heads, you tend to get a bit distracted.

Elite Tyranid Warrior

oooh... tough one.

I've always been partial to the most recent Tyranid warriors; they look aggressive, and they've aged extremely well despite being 3rd edition sculpts. Feeding off of that (heh...) I'd have to say the latest raveners are a close second; both units have a pose to them that always makes it look like they're leaning towards the enemy.

I've always been a sucker for inquisitors. The idea that they can do anything, ANYTHING carte blanche, with little more than presenting a blank index card and saying "I'm an inquisitor, you're going what I say so" is pretty badass.

Other than that, I've long had a love affair with imperial guard ministorum priests. There's something about a crazy old man chopping a land raider in half with nothing more than faith in the emperor and a 12-foot-long-chainsaw-sword that has always struck a chord with me. That he is so insanely angry that he makes everybody else reroll attacks on the charge is just that much better. It's almost too bad that they no longer have the rule that says that if they are in range of assault, they MUST charge in...
