Unless you are one of these folks who simply cannot delay gratification I recomend waiting six months or so and then look around Ebay for assembled examples with horrible little kid paint jobs. You should be able to pick them up for less than half of sticker price.

Not a GW excuser here, but put one side by side with a Razorwing...

I'm sure the other fliers will be 'corrected' to address this oversight eventually..

Currently with the flyer rules, the storm raven is the hardest -to-destroy of all released flyers. what used to just be an AV12 skimmer heavy support for $66 is now an AV12 Death from Above at $82.50.

More evidence supporting that GW charges prices not based on cost of production and distribution (which would be the fair way to do it) but rather ramps up $$ cost according to a model's in-game value. (Yet somehow pyrovores don't cost $0.50 apiece...so i guess not EVERY model is costed appropriately to game value).

From my impression, it's not that out of proportion given that the Stormraven is quite a bit larger than the other fliers and comes with a rather large number of options. I haven't opened one up, but judging by the pictures on the GW site it comes with four sprues, compared to two for the Razorwing.

Whether or not $45 for the other base kits can be justified is a completely different discussion, but proportionally I can accept the Stormraven being twice as expensive as the other fliers that come with less "stuff".

We were, thankfully, left out of the majority of the price increases this year. While we got some (Eldar Aspect boxes went up, for example), some of the more ludicrous price increases were left out. Land Raiders and Stormravens among them.

Or you know you could just make them yourself. I took lascannon HWT guns and made my vendettas, could also use the land raider lascannons.

Why wait 6mths? It's not like it's a new release.

You are correct of course. But there will be a frenzy of purchases of flyers with the recent release of the new eidtion and the perception that flyers will dominate the game. So you will see a new glut of them on the second hand market in a few months as the kiddies tire of their new toys.

Or...excess Lascannons from heavy weapon teams utilizing other weapons

Also, anyone else remember how the Valkyrie went from $50 to $57 within like a month after release? Then to $66 not soon after?
