Ravenwing Support Squadron (Typhoon Missile Launcher, multimelta) (75)
Ravenwing Attack Squadron, meltabombs, 2 plasma guns, attack bike with multimelta (205)
I plan to be aggressive with my mostly-24"-range stuff -- drive both LRs full of termies straight at the foe, leading slightly with the Crusader, and have the bikes get total cover from the LRs till in range for nastiness. I may zip the attack bike forward in the scout move if I get 1st turn and if I can get it in range to shoot stuff on Turn 1, but I'm more likely to present an Armour 14 wall at the foe, with both speeders and all 4 bikes hiding as best they can, till I'm in range to open up with everything (and charge the next turn). Figure that in a multiple objective mission, I'll be aiming to wipe out whatever's on the enemy's home objectives using all my forces, then go back and contest my own home objectives with surviving bikers. smile.gif Plus I have the option of leaving the LR on a rear objective, though I doubt I'll do so. Quite like the idea of a hammer-forward kind of attack.
I am, admittedly, not that used to using LRs quite so much... since they weren't quite so good in 5th.

So, just to let you know, vehicles got squishier in 6th. You can very easily be glanced to death now.
Another thing to think about: your terminators in the basic land raider cannot assault until the turn after they disembark, so they will be sitting ducks for one full turn before they can do anything.

The regular Land Raider still has an assault ramp. The difference between the two is that the LRC has frag assault launchers, which just grants the benefits of assault grenades to anyone assaulting from it.
Vehicles have definately changed, maybe not for bad. Vehicles are easier to glance to death, but they stay much more effective longer. Stun-locking a vehicle is much harder to do now that glances don't do any damage other than a hull point.
Though, the Land raider is A14, not much will even glance it, unless you are playing against necrons. But 4 hull points should still last you a while. Also, no worries about necrons glancing you to death. If they are close enough to get shots at your LR, then you are close enough to assault next turn. Necrons fall down in assault (with the exception of Lords and wraiths)
I think it is a pretty solid list. but maybe give the RW squadron meltas and have them go vehicle hunting along with the Land speeders, or take them out and add another DW squad because you need more than two troops to really have an edge at controlling objectives.

You're right on the land raider normal being an assault vehicle, not really sure what I was thinking on that one.
From the games that I have seen so far, vehicles overall got worse. You might not get stun-locked, but they tend to be dead before the beginning of turn 3, even the AV 14 vehicles.

you might be right about the vehicles not lasting long. I have not yet tried using my tanks in 6th edition. To keep it simple I have been using all Terminators and bikes list and it seems to work out fine.
That being said, I have played agianst a couple of other space marines. I had no problem dealing with lots of regular tanks, but when two land raiders rolled onto the field, I couldn't do much about it. So I think it is still viable.

I agree most vehicloes get glanced to death in 6th. Land Raiders how ever don't really fit that bill to me.
I played a gaem with 3 Battlewagons aginst Necrons and they still survived pretty long. And they are only av14 in the front. Necrons are not as bad as one would seem.
As for the list, I think having some LC's in those squads would be better. You are in land raiders so you don't need the 3++ as much as you would if you were walking acrossed the board. The LC's would help with massed infantry.
I love the plasma on bikes, they do not want to be close to get charged whihc will happen if you have meltas on them. So that is a good idea. I am alittle worried about your numbers even though the troops are one of the hardest units to kill now. But I don't see how you can change that. Looks pretty good.
Good Luck!

My biggest problem with lists similar to yours is the small number of troop units.
It typically hurts most when someone throws a worthless unit, that takes a long time to kill, at the terminators. And then the terminators don't have enough time left in the game to get to objectives.
I like lightning claws, but I am starting to prefer the basic SB/PF terminator because of the ap2 and the storm botler can do some horde-thinning damage before they get bogged down in assault.

I am not fond of your list. There are several things that for me do not work with deathwing, which is fine apart deathwing needs all the help it can get.
The overview though would be if the enemy can deal with 2 land raiders you will die, if they can't you'll win.
Moreover if your termies can survive whilst you have something to deny objectives you will be ok.
Antiflyer is something to consider.

I think it is a pretty good list. I am a fan of footslogging termies now. Basically all SS/TH with CMLs, it does pretty well, although some armies do fly around it.
Anyway, I would try to fit in one more scoring unit at 1500. I know it is tough, but I think definitely do-able. I would test out the LRs and see how they work for you, I know near me that there are alot of flyers, so my lists always seem to include Aegis Quad Guns.
