Hey Gabrial
Just had a look through your gallery, don't know where you are getting that you suck from!
You are doing a good job of staying neat and have some nice colour choices going, you also are not loading on paint too thick and are getting some nice brush control.
What I would recommend you do next is start checking out beginners tutorials for shading and highlighting, and start using multiple layers of paint to achieve some nice detailed tones. I have a basic tutorial in my sig below, but there are plenty more on Dakka and some really great ones
In a nutshell -
Make sure your paints are thinned correctly
Start trying out layering so you can get some nice highlights down.
Start using shades to darken the recesses and give your mini's some depth.
Keep practicing brush control by being patient and staying as neat as you can.

explain this shading thing to me, i understand washes and using them to darken colors or help the colors blend together. I watched a tutorial on paint dark eldar the obsidian rose and the basecoat they used seem to affect the whole model. Automatically Appended Next Post: i had to learn brush control when i started to paint menoth a while ago.

Shading would be adding contrasts of shadows to the models so they appear more realistic. Basically adding on shadows that are not quite there in real life.
This has shading and highlighting started on it. The recesses are darker, and the raised areas are brighter. You can use washes to quickly shade the recesses and then paint on the lighter areas by hand.
The same model later after pushing the shading and highlighting further. If you have not tried this before, make sure to look for some shading and highlighting tutorials and practice them. Theres plenty on Dakka.

Brush control is what affects your neatness, ability to paint fine detail, and steadiness when lining etc. It's not something you learn from painting a couple of models, you have to keep practicing as much as possible till you are confident you are able to paint fine features. It comes with time
