There has been a steadily increasing number of posts in some sections of the forums where a post consists of quoting another user's post, changing a word or two of it, and adding only "fixed your typo" or simply "fixed". Is there any possibility these sorts of posts could be moderated as the spam they are?

If this is acceptable, so be it, but it's it's the most annoying non-content ever and I wanted to see if this was on you guy's radar or just a personal pet peeve.

While they are annoying, I don't believe they are spam.

I agree with pretre, I know myself and a lot of others use it as a joke. Quoting someone and humorously changing the content of their post and adding fixed is rather entertaining, in short bursts.

In a jokey thread, it's fine.

In a News and Rumors thread, on-topic 40k thread, or similar, it should not be tolerated. It's sarcastic and dickish, two adjectives with which I'm very familiar.

On a side note, but it was used in this thread so I'll just ask, how do you strikethrough words?

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Excerpt from "Seeress of Kell", Book Five of The Malloreon series by David Eddings.

It can be used as spam, but not always. More often than not if it crops up in a serious thread the guy who did it has simply resorted to trolling.

I don't mind if it's done tastefully, but if you're just twisting it about some 6th Ed rule you hate or Matt Ward, whatever, then it irks me.

And no, thenoobbomb, I'm not saying you're awesome.

No, I'm really not. I think Liquidjoshi is great though, and totally deserves internet cookies.

Well, if you insist...

I think that's enough now. can we have a ceasefix?

That's quite enough. OT spam isn't tolerated in any forum; do it again, and Bad Things may result.

I find this incredibly rude, and I moderate it as such.

Fix'd. Simply adding the fact that it's used sometimes, not meaning to spam.
