Needs more men. You really more random grunts around to take the fire off the HWS's otherwise they will take all the anti-infantry firepower straight away.

Mortars are not brilliant, just not powerful enough when more than half the armies around are Meq equivalents. Fun sure, but not great.

With the changes in the rules Bodyguards are rubbish, definitely drop them.
Astropath does nothing in this army, as I can see no real reserves.
Master of the Ordnance is a gamble, sometimes he will work great, sometimes he will do nothing. And remember he has to not move to fire his gun.

Why the random missile launchers? 1 or 2 of anything will not do anything, give them some autocannon or lascannon to work with your HWS's.

The veteran squad is random, and serves no real purpose, get 2 infantry platoons, each with at least 2 infantry squads in to provide you with men, and then 4-6 HWS's for the heavy guns.

The Demolisher wants to move generally, so plasma sponsons not the best, heavy bolters preferable.
The Vanquisher is a bad tank, do not take it, BS3 and 1 shot makes it incredibly unreliable, and with the damage table, its a punt at best. Swap it out for a second normal russ.

Dark Angels seem solid, storm shields are always good on them though.

Hope this is useful.

ADL would really useful to hide weapon team behind.
I would bring aeroplanes to get into dog fights.

I am not sure what you are expecting from the deathwing, apart from just hanging around being cool.

I would take orks as an ally in your list. Lootas and some kannons are a load better than your weapon teams, maybe some nob bikers or bikers if you want some speedy infantry that bring their own cover.

HWT's are much better in an infantry squad than in their own squad. 8 ablative wounds is huge, and requires many more wounds before they lose morale. Also easier to give orders to a massive blob. Lots wrong with this list, in all honesty. Go ahead and read some other lists and glean some insight; I recently made an 1850 list with Space Wolves that performs remarkably, check my "Threads Started" in my profile. Even if wolves aren't your thing, my guard main-force is a very solid template to add allies to.

If you do take a vanquisher, Pask is a must. Master of ordnance is worthless, he always scatters, and if your opponent knows he's facing ANY sort of template they'll generally deploy in a way that minimizes cassualties, so a template that always scatters a minimum of two D6 is pretty worthless.
Unfortunately I have no idea where your extra 30 points would then be useful. Maybe someone else could help with that

Just curious, why do you have an executioner and a demolisher in the same squadron? They're very different tanks, made for very different roles. I would pick one or the other and stick with it.

Good choice on the Officer of the fleet. In a list like this, anything you can do to spread out what will most likely pop in and kill your heavy hitters is important. Not crazy about missle launchers, I tend to go autocannons or lascannons, but they're not terrible, so no harm in running them.

That said, still needs more guardsmen. We're not joking when we say you need LOTS of bodies. I tend to lose between 20 to 30 guardsmen in the first turn against a serious shooty list. A list like this would have its screen absolutely butchered by turn 1 or 2. I usually take at least 7 infantry squads total, and I like to take 8 to 10 if I can spare the points. I would say at least shoot for 6 infantry squads for now, and once you're used to how they play, try adding more over time. Keeping them cheap though is never a bad idea, and a 65pt infantry squad with a plasma gun is a good choice in a screen. I like the idea of a central blob to act as an anchor to the line (which I assume the commissar is there to do) I would run a 20 to 30 man blob to hold down the fort, and throw in a few more 10 man squads running around for your screen. Should do pretty well. Also, try meltas with them sometime, they work great if you've got a ton of infantry squads spread out. They effectively let you shut down a massive part of the board to any sort of vehicle movement, and really ruin anyone's day who thinks they can just tankshock some guardsmen out of the way.

And one final thing, throw some standards on the CCS's. 30pts in two squads to let you reroll morale checks within 12" of the flag is just amazing. I've been watching guard squads hold against insane odds lately, and I've been passing morale checks like a boss thanks to those rerolls. They don't give rerolls to orders unfortunately, but they're plenty awesome already. Maybe you can downgrade the executioner to a demolisher, and use the points you saved for the standards?

Remember in 6th edition that "minimum range" does not mean "can't fire", it simply means no BS deduction from scatter. I don't think the Basilisk's minimum range is going to be a big problem for your, because once they're inside the minimum, they're in the prime target range for the Demolisher/Executioner squad. I would drop your heavy weapon squads and get more infantry squads, though. you have a tremendous amount of firepower and points in your heavy support section. What you need are bodies to defend the tanks at close range and go get objectives.
