Defilers are best when taken in pairs, if you take them as a single unit make them a soulgrinder so they don't have to walk all the way across the board and have improved armor to boot.

I would drop 2 combi-flamers just to give the demon prince Doombolt.

A roll on Telepathy could be useful for this army, and everyone loves Psychic Shriek on a tough monstrous creature platform.

List looks A-OK as is.

Oh, and if you were to stick with a Defiler he would be best turned into a 2nd nurgle prince with wings!

thanks for the input.

i was also thinking drop the blood thirster and take epidermis and skull taker instead. That paired with a 2nd nurgle prince could be pretty fun.

You're welcome.

Epidizzle is only good if you spam Nurgly stuff a lot more, to take full advantage of it (sort of like when people take Vulcan)

I'm interested to see how your posted list works

I would find the points for Unholy Might and Death Strike on the Bloodthirster. This would make him more deadly while swooping (increases your base strength and gives you a shortrange plasma shot with no gets hot)

I take it all of your marines are on foot? I think you will struggle against high mobility armies like DE, bikes, etc. They will focus fire on your MCs first until dead while avoiding your ground forces. Your deepstriking demons are all slow as well.

With daemons, I am a bigger fan of Slaanesh right now. Fleet and pavane are very valuable in this new edition.

I would say take only the bear minimum of Bloodletters as they as basically useless in 6th ed

If you want my advice, consider this list...

I disagree that Bloodletters are useless, but they are generally less effective than last edition.

I am not a fan of Death Strike, I would lose that to get your DP a psychic power. The BT wants to be in CC anyway, not wasting time Vector Striking unless there is a particularly deadly flyer on the way.

I think the death strike may be where we part ways. Granted, if I need points, I am more than willing to drop it. But, that deathstrike can be extremely useful. If you are swooping, it gives you something to do after your vector strike. On the ground, it is useful for giving you a chance to pop open a rhino in the shooting phase to get at its tasty insides. And, lets not forget the most important part, it helps to forge a narrative!

Originally i only really gave the BT death strike to fill some points, got rid of it for my DP powers. I personally like BloodLetters though. This list isnt going to be in a tournament or anything, the only people who are going to play against this are my friends or maybe a stray person or two at the local club so im not looking for something crazy competitive.
