Hey guys & gals I just thought i would post this because it might save you some money
Recently i have been looking high and low for and alternative case for transporting my mini's well i finally found something!
I found it at Harbor Freight Tools These stores are all over the United States (sorry I don't think they are in any other country)and they are fairly good on prices.
So anyway i bought this case it was on sale only cost me $22.99(normally $29.99 still save a bunch of money plus it comes with foam already in it one sheet for 2" pick and pluck foam and one sheet of 1" egg crate foam)

Also here is a link to the shopping page

Very nice! I've seen these used for transporting large models and they seem to do a good job. If you want a tutorial for adding your own miniatures trays, go here:

I use a similar case for storing my post apoc vehicles.

The best cases I've found is the Plano 4 pistol case $12.00 at Walmart.

You can easily fit 6-8 rhinos in the lower part of the case. 60 or so models in the top.

See pics of my Orks, Tau, Emperor's Children, Necrons, Space Wolves, and Dark Eldar here:

I think I'm gonna get a smaller one of those pistol cases for my infinity minis.

I have one of those aluminum cases, and it does do a good job. My only problem is that I plucked the foam for my WHFB army. It's deep enough you can have mounted knights with their lances pointed up, still on their horses.

But now my fantasy army have been resigned to the shelf, and I need a way to get my tanks and bikes around. So each time I go to a game, everything has to be packed with spare foam bits in the larger spaces.

That first case is the exact same one I've had for years now. The pluck foam it comes packed with is too soft but the case itself is very nice.

I had that case for my paints/modeling materials. Solid choice, and cheap.

These cases are very popular in Australia (being sold at Bunnings under the brand name 'Craftright'). I have two of them myself.
There is even a guy here in Australia who makes infantry trays especially to go inside:
http://www.mini-soft.com.au/index.html
They also fit Battlefoam trays reasonably well: Its a good width, about 2 inches long on the length (which makes a good space to put dice and templates). I fit the BF Tau 4x Hammerhead tray + one of the mini trays above.

The issue I find with it is that it is pretty awkward to carry if you have more than one. A single large battlefoam/sabol/whatever case is much easier to manage.

I have ALL of my infinity figures in one of these cases. I got option 2 on this case (comes with 3" pluck foam) - must have been a wrong one thrown into the batch as all the others were the normal divider type.
Three armies, including bikes, TAGs and Remotes.

The infantry are all in Battlehive size trays (KR half-size also fit).
The big stuff is in the pluck foam.

It will hold 4 full KR trays (1") with a foam protective topper.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

I have a bunch of Orks in one of these from that same dude. Its definitely a solid, inexpensive option. As others have noted though, its tough to carry round a few of them at once, but they are perfect for smaller armies.

I picked up the Harbor Freight case in the OP and fit 5x rhinos/razors/preds and 2x LR in it! For ~$25 you CANNOT beat that.
