Scenario:

Playing Big Guns Never Tire, a Leman Russ and a Battlewagon (bought as Heavy Support) both drive up to the same objective.
At the end of the game neither is Immobilised, and there are no other units from either side near enough to contest.

Three points for both, for controlling the same objective!

BRB, p. 123, Denial Units wrote:- - all units are denial units, save for a few exceptions given below:

BRB, p. 128, Heavy Metal wrote: Unlike other missions, in Big Gun Never Tire, your heavy support units are scoring units - - even your vehicles are scoring units - -

Did I miss anything?

From the provided snippets it would look like each side would get 3 points. Personally I would just give both sides 0 as a contest. In the end its the same thing.

Nope. Checked it myself and it looks like you can score but not deny objectives in the Big guns never tire mission with vehicles.

chalk up yet one more thing for the new FAQ!

According to the BRB, you need double victory points for a crushing victory (p. 122), both sides getting the points makes crushing victories more difficult to achieve.

Where it matter more, is when a scoring vehicle and an infantry scoring unit meet up at the same objective.

Because the vehicle isn't a Denial Unit despite being a Scoring Unit, the points go to the infantry unit.

Could be even RAI for all I know...

So Tanks score, but infantry are more scoring.

Works for me.

Fits with the rest of the rules in how they are constructed - vehicles have massive drawbacks in all areas of the game, compared to 5th

RAW, it's exactly as you've said:
Vehicles, even if Scoring, are not Denial units.

Personally I think this is yet another oversight from GW and will likely be changed when FAQ arrives.
