Okay, I'm going to Gencon for a variety of things, but I'm TOTALLY RIPPED for Leviathans finally hitting the shores! I'm prepping the two fleets I picked up at LAST year's Gencon, for this year's. you can check out progress, here!

I'll be sure and bring back lots of news about this game, for those of you who are interested.

Awesome, I remember following Leviathans for a while months, maybe a year, ago...it seemed to be going almost nowhere. Glad to see its finally getting to the point of being sold.

Whats my game?
Warmachine (Cygnar)
10/15mm mecha
Song of Blades & Heroes
Blackwater Gulch
X wing
Open to other games too

I was totally interested in Leviathans after playing a bunch of Demos at Gencon last year, but there were so many friggin' delays that I forgot about the game when I saw Sedition Wars. Maybe a can finagle is as a Christmas Present from the wife this year, or go halves with my buddy who was also impressed by the game at Gencon.

Brian, how do the figures from last year's GenCon compare to the figures from this year?

How does Leviathans play compared to say, BFG?
How simple is it to learn?

And when are some new fleets coming out? I want to get it, but the two starter fleets in the box don't really meet my fancy. I will still probably buy it, but that is because I think I have an addiction to buying games.

They're committed to quarterly releases, Germans and Italians next, maps, etc.

The game is tremendously easy to learn and play. Work through the LT's manual, first, then add the commander's manual. BAM.

Also, the box includes everything you need to play. And I mean it.

I "caved" and bought the box.

I wish it came with 2 full rulebooks so I could split with a friend, but oh well.

Well, I have two solutions for you:

1) You can download the LT manual from their website.

2) The game is published under a creative commons license (no, really, check out the rulebook's first pages!) Take it down to Kinko's, and have them scan that sucker for you.

Saw this on sale for a very deep discount at Miniature Market online. Looks interesting though I can't help but think Dystopian Wars when I see it...

Sky Galleons of Mars... wow, that does sound awesome!

My first ever game along these lines was Fasa's Star Trek Tactical Starship Combat Simulator back in the early 80s. Haven't found anything quite as fun but moved over to different minis over the past 25+ years. This may bring me back to ship to ship battles...

Ah I've thought about getting this game, thanks for the post!

Some kind of mini pics, as well as anything else you might care to photograph, would definitely be appreciated!
