with the new 6th edition rules it makes all power swords ap3. Abbadons the despoiler warmaster of chaos has a special daemon weapon. In the 6th edition faq it says its a power weapon. it does not specify what kinds. It would amaze me if the warmaster of chaos who is 275 points cant penetrate 2 up armor. Im very confused with the new rule.please help me understand. thanks dakka!

It says it's a power weapon. It looks like a sword, but then again it's a unusual power weapon as all demon weapons are, therefore it's ap 3.

Next book it's ap 2, so don't throw a tantrum.

Yeah, Abaddon fell through the cracks of 5th->6th. As jurai says, there's a new codex soon though.
Though only being AP3 would explain why he's failed 13 crusades

DE's 200+ HQ only has an AP3 weapon as well...*sadface*

I would not be surprised if they kept it AP 3. Lots of expensive characters lost AP2 going to 6th. Draigo lost it, some DE characters lost it.

Not so sure he fell through the cracks so much as took the same nerf as everyone else.

As a Black Legion player whose center-piece model is Abaddon, allow me to say you are not alone.

However, I also fully expect him to cut through 2+ armor in the next codex, which for us is right around the corner. Dunno about all these other people like Draigo - guess they get to wait.
