Hi!

It's been almost two years since the last time I painted miniatures, or at least finished them. I am very happy about completing my first model after a long break in painting, so I decided to share it with you guys. My painting table always features several models in progress, but the brush decided to pick up this one after first pictures of new Nurgle Daemon plastics appeared on the internet. I wanted to try if I still got what it takes to paint Nurgle. This dude is not intended for gaming, hence the round base (it suits better for display IMO). I intend to try my skills at the new Plaguebearers and Nurglings eventually, but you might have to wait another two years...

It is a terrible shame you do not finish more models. This guy is excellent. Would love to see more of your work.

Awesome - if you added some water effects with a red or a pale green you could make some blood seeping out or have gunk on the skin. If you don't feel as brave yet after your gap in painting, you could paint a gloss varnish over the guts to give a shiny effect. I hope you paint some more brilliant models!

Nice balance between the color of the sores and the skin-tones/leathers, sometimes (often) I've seen it way overdone or not contrasted enough.

Love the model, it's a bit upstaged by the tuft of grass on the base (like he's out for a nice country stroll!), but definitely an awesome piece.
