The Tyrant:

Hive Guard:

Although there isn't much colour variation in them, I find it suits the Tyranids because I've always related them to the Xenomorph or as it's more commonly known - Alien from the "Alien franchise". Since the Xenomorphs have hardly colour except for green acidic blood, I wanted to transpose their appearance onto my Tyranids. In the future, I'm going to modify most of the models so they look more similar to the Xenomorphs.

Anyway, what do you think? I know my painting isn't the best, hopefully it improves soon. The only trouble I had really was getting the green bright enough for it so stand out against the black. Instead of multiple layers of the green paint - which I thin out, could I use a glaze instead?

Definetly an interesting look to them. I just wonder if there is a slightly metallic sheen off them?
Would a black wash over the highlights dull that down a bit? Good work though, interested to see more.

Not bad so far, but they just don't quite seem finished.

I approve, if i were to play tyranids theyd certainly be modeled after the xenomorphs

I like the concept. I would recommend spending some time making their bases really nice and contrasting to make what you've done really "pop" on the table.
