I believe I may be picking up these following models second-hand from a friend of mine:

1 Abbadon the Despoiler
1 Ahriman

40 Khorne Beserkers
20 Plague Marines
10 Thousand Sons
15 Chosen Chaos Space Marines

1 Defiler

What tactics, armylists, etc could I use to make my enemies Abbadon hope? I am quite new to Chaos.

You should really stop with these puns guys, else the thread will descend into utter Chaos.

Ahem

Anyway, what the other posters have said is true. I'd wait for the new codex. That said, if you're itching to get started, purchasing a Land Raider would be a good start.

It's rather unlikely that GW would stray from the standard Land Raider rules, save for perhaps giving it a rule which makes it go crazy and do donuts or something. The LR could be used to transport those Beserkers you have into the fray and, if that fails, some Terminators or Chosen would work nicely with it too. I also reckon it's unlikely Chosen will get nerfed, due to them featuring in the new Starter Set.

So yeah, don't hold me to it, but a Land Raider is a decent bet if you really want to get started.

But basically I posted to join in with the puns

I'd hold off on the land raider for now. Everyone seems to be stocking up on flyers instead.

PS - Ahriman ber that there are going to be some pretty cool walkers coming out as well, if you kharne wait another month.

Out of what you got there, it looks like you have a nice 1250 point army to play with. I would add a Land raider and get some games in. get used to their feel.

They are getting a new codex soon, but they are marines. the basic tactics will most likely carry over from one book to the next.

Beserkers: Good for assaulting via rhino rush.
T-Sons: great objective sitters with their AP3 bolters
Plague Marines: good for objective sitting and drive-by's with their extra heavy/special weapons
Chosen: Infiltrate with special weapons to make your opponent potentially have a not-too-good start, bit too expensive for what they do though (enjoy it while it lasts, rumored to lose infiltrate). Probably better played as regular marines or something :/
Defiles: from what I've seen, best in pairs lobbing shots at your opponent. I suppose you can do it with one but don't expect anything amazing to happen.
Abaddon: Currently has issues as he isn't as killy as he was in 5th Ed. possibly best foot slogging with your Zerkers. However, if you can, get some Termi's to stick him with (I prefer MoT for them but everyone has different preferences)
Ahriman; Not much experience with him, can't help you there.

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

Thanks for the general guideline, I appreciate it... sets some basic Rules as to how I should play Chaos Mahreens. Well, I hope the new Codex doesn't turn out to be a Crisis or else I'll have to Move Through some troubling Cover in order to reorganize my traitor scumbags.

also..... feel free to put up bad puns......

Bezerkers: Cannot assault out of rhino's
T-Son's- chew marines harder than before, have better saves than cover. Quite strong.
Plague marines- Good all rounders. Suffer from I3 in melee, and cost more than regular marine, but the toughness and double special weapons more than makes up for it. Really solid troops.
CSM- Tac marines that punch harder in melee and can get double special weapons. Good and reliable, cult troops are considered better due to specializing.
Chosen: Nuff said above. They can also use icons to daemonbomb the enemy (summoned lesser daemon blobs)
Defiler- You really want pairs of defilers. They are large targets which doesn't help, but also have medium armor and there is a significant lack of armor in your army. in other words- Every. single. AT weapon will be pointed at it. It will die FAST. You need some more armor for target saturation.
Abaddon: He's still killy. He still beats face. Doesn't slap terminators as hard as before.
Ahriman: Expensive for a mediocre named sorcerer. I'd field him as a normal sorc myself.

P.s these puns are really getting bad.

I Kharn't believe noone brought this pun up yet. All the other puns were Khorney, after all...

*ahem*
New Codex or not - one way or another, you're going to want a way to get those Berzerkers into combat. 40 of them isn't a bad way to go about it(!), but for smaller games where you can't squeeze them all in, may I suggest a Land Raider.

Now then, more puns, more puns. I'll need enough to make A hriman' couplet...

Well, you can't assault out of rhinos anymore, so khorne berserkers have to be on foot.

You know, they are now land raiders.

Tears of blood? emo marines? Angry zerkers in emo positions? Do we call those movies...

Tear 'zerkers?

Edit: Make it stop he says. To stop khorne rush, you need to pop the rhinos.
They just won't stop...until you pop.

My elite marines rolled scout after I deployed them! But they suck, because I can't use scout to outflank after I deploy them. Damn it, I can't control them, they must be possessed.
