I'm looking for some good ally options for my Orks or maybe taking Orks as Allies to another army. What ideas do you guys have for builds?

Necrons. Orks struggle against tanks but necrons, either as the primary detachment or as allies can really change the dynamic, especially when paired with green-tide orks or similar builds.

I'm really looking at bringing the Ork Nob Bikers and Maybe a flyer, so what else should I add or should I rethink my approach?

A lot of Ork players have been taking Tau allies. Brings in some extra anti-tank shooting, which is always welcome. Orks have good ways to deal with light armor and transports, but the Tau shooting can be good for anti-AV 13/14.

Likewise, some players bring in a deathstar squad of Warboss/Nobs as an allied detachment. Lists that don't have a lot of cc oomph can get some use from that setup. Speedy lists will sometimes bring a Biker 'Boss and a squad of Biker Nobs as another option.

I'm thinking Biker Boss/Nobs as an allied detachment and either Elder. DEldar, IG, Tau or Crons as my primary but I cant narrow it down.

That detachment would probably be best in another list that's moving cc units forward to accompany them. So from that list, maybe DE?

Maybe the Nob Bikers with some Wraiths moving forward since they are both tough to kill and then running a Flyer and shooty Crons to compliment

Well, a Nob Biker squad led by a Warboss is a big point sink. If you like to play it, you'll need to build the army around them.

Orks have so many options.
First the silly effective options first:
space wolves can bring rune priest and some melta with a drop pod. Let's say second best psychic defence in the game, jaws of the wolf and some melta is pretty good. Then can handle themselves so you do not need to get close.

Farseer pathfinders. The best psychic defence in the game, with probably the best snipers(maybe second to nob bikers really.)

Then more seriously all your allies can give you something. I would not use chaos space marines, they are a bit lack lustre and hard to fit. I guess they whip units into killing fields for ork gun lines to attack.

I personally like the aeroplane idea. Bring some necrons and some orks, including nob bikers if you want just to not get tabled, then you can bring up to 2 necron scoring aeroplanes, a doom scythe and 3 dakka jets. Else do it the other way and bring lots of necron flyers and one dakka jet.

I think most codices would love to have lootas, kannons and probably some of the mass troop units. Also no bikers are one of the best deathstars available. All units need to work well with the rest of the list though.

Nob Bikers with Crons is pretty nasty.
MSS and AV13 spam + Flyers.

I played it and died horribly.

I'm definately leaning towards Nob Bikers with Biker Boss as allies to Cron Flyers with Wraiths assuminh I can fit all of it.

I dont have any codec available but i'm thinking something like:
Crons: Destroyer Lord with Max Wraith squad all eith whips, 3x5 warrior squads in Night Scythes, 2 Doom Sythes allied with Nob Bikers with war boss and a max loota squaf, 2x dakka jets and any point fillers I need. good idea or bad?

Personally I take Death Guard with rhinos and melta guns for anti-tank and point denial, a Slaaneshi DP with wings to MC the odd tank and lash because pulling people into close combat is super fun and a sorc with lash as well (it's just THAT fun). I couldn't bring myself to take 'crons because it just feels so super-cheese.

Well, Necrons and Orks have some synergy as it should be fluff-wise.
Orks as allies could contribute Gretchins for the ADL or Boyz mob, Lootas, deathstar (Nob Bikers), Dakkajet, and some HS.

Not really. A flying circus can have up to 5 FMC's. As an ally detachment, you can have at most 3 of them. Once they are grounded, they will die.

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from but as an ally 3 Flying MC's is still a huge upsife and grounding them is difficult at best.

I think I've found a list that I'm semi comfortable with. what do ya'll think?
SO the plan should be obvious, turn one is all about surviving with the very durable, Nobs and Wraith units with DLords and on tun two when my flyers start to come in(on rolls of 3+) send forth the pain. The wraiths with all whips will have every opponent striking at I1 and the Dlord wreaking havoc. Nob bikers go forward pop off shots and slam home into the closest enemy unit. Flyers once they are on the table go around picking off high priority targets that maybe my footies can't get to.

Thoughts:
I'm not sure that my units are survivable against Mass shooting.
What could I replace or bring that could help reserve rolls.
Do i have enough survivability in the case that a game goes to turn 5&6?
Weaknesses?
Strengths?
What are my bad match-ups?
What should I do well against?

Appreciate any C&C.

Personally i'd at least drop 1 unit of Wraiths.

I also wouldnt bother with Destroyer Lords, I'd take maybe one on foot but one in a barge for sure. The speed of this guy is insane coupled with the speed of the nob bikers...

I'd also look at more AV 13 spam, Maybe consider some Tesla platforms, those things hurt and they are hard to kill.

Night Sythes are perfect for turn 5 objective capturing.
Doom Sythes are really needed? I would think you need more on the ground to begin with.

Stick some kind of close combat power axe in your nob bikers, 2 if you can. (oh you have power claws, sorry, missed that).

Also consider a unit of ground troops and or scarabs.

Its good but not OP. It does very well vs deathstar armies like paladins, but does poorly when facing 150+ orks.

I would also suggest looking at allying with IG. There are some excellent options to help compliment the boyz. (like manticores, vendettas, etc)

@Labmouse42, my best friend and most frequesnt opponent in the hooby is a long time IG player ao i'm trying to shy away from that.

@l0rdF1end What makes the barge so much better than base DLord? Also, i'm think of dropping on of the Dooms for another unit. Not sure what yet?

Well I kinda decided to drop the Nobs and go with a simple Necron list looks something like
3x5 Wraiths with whips on all
2x Destroyer Lords, res Orbs, Weave, Mindshackle
3x5 Warriors in Night Scythes
5 warriors on foot
2x Doom Scythes
Aegis Defense Line with Comm Relay

Basically run the 2 DLords in Wraith squads to absorb all of the shots and Look Out Sir anything that he can't take. Also he gives the whole unit Preferred Enemy which I really like since they will be hitting and wounding on low rolls already. Night Scythes and Doom Scythes are there to... well shoot things. The 5 man squad on foot is to hold down the Aegis defense line which I plan to tuck into cover and if need be Go to Ground to get that 2+ cover save and use the comm relay to assure that the majority of my army is on the board turn 2 where it should be able to dish out some fairly decent damage. Having a large amount of my guys Jump Inf then i plan to be in combat right away and winning against all but the best opponents (TW Cav) I've also considered takeing Voidblades on my DLords just because i can get rid of some of those Termy armour saves by causing wounds which shouldn't be hard as tough as they are.

Am I missing anything? Any ideas?

This is a good very competitive list the most important thing is to make sure you're ground troops don't die.

Also be careful to ration your night scythes. Dont want crucial scoring going into reserve and coming in on your deployment edge cause they managed to down your flier. Try to have at least one off the table at most times(unless it is something like turn 5 then you dont want to as it will become destroyed.

This is correct because on turn 5 is when you will unload you're troops onto the battlefield.
