I had this curious idea.. how awesome would a Necron army in ME reaper colors look like? Not too awesome in hands of an amateur but I just had to try it out!

The basic idea was to paint semi-rusty bluish machines with some sorta red lightning stuff going on...

I'm not a master in painting effects but had to give it a shot...

I like it. I would make the center eye the same blue color (as the light blue balls) though to bring it out.

^^ I would have to agree with the eye being blue as well. I think it is a really cool idea and looks pretty awesome.

But, the reapers eyes are red in Mass Effect.

Finished a base of scarabs with the same palette.

Asisde from the fact those models are killer, I love the original colour scheme of your Necrons!

I love the paintjob, not sure what you mean about the hands of an amateur!
However, I think the amount of red is too much for them to genuinely look like Reapers, and the styling's a bit off.

You want navy panelling for the armour (as you already have), but with tiny light blue lines for "circuitry" and only minor details like eyes or weaponry in red. This should help:

I've been pondering Necrons for a while now... this idea might just give me the push to actually do it.

The second wraith Ive been working on is going to have less of that reddish stuff.. and more blue between the plating to make it a little bit less messy and more machinelike. To achieve more genuine reaper look Id probly have to paint the whole body in the plating color.. but I personally like the ancient rusty body so Im just gonna leave it as it is and call them "Reaper inspired" Necrons.

You could do something about the bases.
Have you planned anything cool for the bases?
Also, you could use a little watering down on the paints...

Aside those minor things, your models actually look great!
The idea for the colours is original, and the models are coming up pretty well.

I got some plans for the bases.. ash gray sand with some random debris perhaps. Thanks for reminding me about watering the paints.. I have a weird habit of not watering the paints... no wonder it feels so dry n sticky when painting
