Hey guys im putting togeather a chaos slaneesh list and im wanting to include some termies they would be an escort for my chaos lord (termie armour MOS blissgiver) they are designed to be IC/elite killers as they will more than likely strike 1st (MOS) so what would ve the ideal unit size what power wepons should they have ? Is a reaper autocannon worth it? Can it be done without using a landraider ? Is 10 men to much ?etc
cheers

I don't know much for 6th ed, but for IC killers I used to run two sets of termie-cide units. Drop them in close to the IC with nothing but Combi plasmas. Cheap and expendable!
Sounds mad but termies can survive loads. Depends what unit size but keep it small 3-5 realising what they will be doing lol.

Or close combat termies I spose Using the slaneesh theme. 4 with Dual lightening claws, and 1 with a chain fist.

Not too sure if these still work in 6th. But they did their job for me. And they did it well.

I like the idea of loading slaneshii termies with LCs in a LR. Of course you need to be choosy on what they are assaulting since they will be ap3 ( dont confront PF termies!)

I have two 5-man units with Mark of Khorne in my army. I was going with Mark of Slaanesh, but I loves me the Forge World Khornate Termies (and they didn't have Emperor's Children models), so that settled the issue for me. I also run them with a Terminator Lord with a Blissgiver. Hurray for a lack of rivalry in the 5th edition codex!

...are you stealing my brain?

I run the first squad with:
2x Lightning Claws
Combi-flamer and Power Fist
Heavy Flamer and Chainfist
Champion with Lightning Claws

The second squad is the same loadout, only I swapped a power axe for the power fist and used the 10 points to make that Terminator a Champion too.

I was undecided on heavy flamer vs autocannon, but against hordes, the flamer can buy you some breathing room on the turn you deep strike, or for working its magic on an entrenched unit in heavy cover.

I use them as all-purpose buzzsaw units, since the lightning claws mean anything with a 3+ save gets chewed up and spat out, while the chainfist and power axe/fist gives me flexibility for Monstrous Creatures and vehicles. As Texanity says, they're not for contesting power fist termies directly, but I've found them to be decent at ripping up large swathes of an enemy army.

Just wait for the new codex. If anything changes, that's going to be a huge drag to kit them all one way right now.

- Imperial Fists - 7290
- Deathskulls - 6150

The reaper auto-cannon might not be the worst idea. I'd expect them to have some use against flyers.

Statistically, you will almost certainly die when assaulting a well-maintained fortress with a competent commander. You must strive to make your death useful.

Your foe is well equipped, well-trained, battle-hardened. He believes his gods are on his side. Let him believe what he will. We have the tanks on ours.
