Hi guys,

I was wondering if the cheap citadel airbrush with its propellant or a similarly priced alternative was actually any good. I understand proper set ups with a compressor will be better but I really cant justify the cost. I only need it to base in colours that aren't available as sprays anywhere else and also to spray washes. Will the citadel gear do the trick? Also, is it at all effective at more detailed tasks, etc, OSL, power weapons?

Many thanks

I can't comment anything about cheap "real" airbrushes, but most things I've heard about Citadel gun is that it is not really worth it. The can will run out of propellent pretty soon and you have no control of what comes out of muzzle.

I bought one of these and a compressor, and haven't look back. I used it to do my Grey Knights like you can see in my gallery.

Did you ever wonder what a creature like that must be like? A whole existence spent praising your God, but always with one wing dipped in blood. Would you ever really want to see an angel?"

Just guessing - that compressor was the most expensive part of that investment?

By a large margin, lol!

its just that canned air is a biatch so you might want to get a large tank you can fill with air at a gas station or something

Thanks for the tips guys.

Kaldor, I reckon I probably will go with one of those. I take it you can easily connect them to cans of propellant just to get me started while I wait for a cheap compressor to appear on eBay? (Nice knights btw)

And the refillable tank is also something I may look into.
