Hey all. I am building a list where guardsmen will represent Frateris Millitia in a battle sisters army. How would you go about building this list? Bare in mind i am not a competitive player but i do like to be able to hold my own in friendlies against mostly MEQ armys (in particular BA) at my local club. I am looking at a 2000pt list as this is what i tend to play.

List of models i have and can use (i am not against buying more)

Sisters:

1: Jakobus

1. st celestine

About 30 sisters. + 1 heavy weapon squad of sisters.

3 rhinos

2 immolators

1 exorcist

1 cannoness

1 squad of DCA

1 priest

5 seraphin

.............................

Guard: Somewhere in the region of 40 Millitia (guardsmen) including command.

I envisage the millitia being the giant meat shield, pesky but something that has t be dealt with hopefully soaking up bullets and allowing lots of melta armed mechanized sisters to ride around immolators and rhinos reaking havok. Any thoughts?

Take guard as the parents.
It'll make your life easier.

Go for the FNP blob with vendettas, I think that will be the easiest and most fun list.

I disagree. Take the Sisters as parents.

2xBSS Squads with whatever you have in Rhinos
2xDominion Squads with Immolators (TL-MM)
1 Exorcist
1 Retributor Squad with HB
Seraphim Squad with Hand Flamers

Primaris or CCS
PCS with Specials
3xGuard Squads with Heavies and Specials if points allow

If you can get the cash, a Vendetta would be nice, as would be something like a manticore. Marbo is a cheap, fun add as well (and can be counts-as'd with an assassin).

Oh and get an aegis.

aegis is very cool. Im thinking now of converting my old cities of death barricades to look like a Frateris Millitia, quickly thrown up barricades complete with banners about how very heretical the opposition are.

Exactly. I'm thinking of magnetizing my aegis so I can add banners depending on which army I am using.
