This Is Where the Fish Lives

In the spirit of the upcoming Dark Vengeance box set, I set forth to paint a Terminator Lord to go along with my new Chaos army. I chose the Iron Warriors because I love the hazard striping on their armor and because you don't see them very often. I also decided to make a display base to go along with him just because I have never made one before. Here is a WIP shot before the base is primed:

If anyone has any questions on the construction of this base, the painting of the miniature, or want to offer any advise or opinions, please feel free!

Very nice work, what colors did you use for the gold parts of the armor, also how did you make those bricks?

The gold trim was done in Vallejo Old Gold from the Liquid Gold line. I then washed it Secret Weapon Miniatures Armor Wash (it's like a brown-black) and then SWM Baby Poop wash (yellowish-greenish-brownish... like baby poop) and then where I wanted deeper shadows I used new equivalent to GW Leviathan Purple.

The bricks I picked up from my FLGS the other day. They are made by Pegasus Hobbies. They look nice as is, but they will be repainted with the base. The shape and texture on them is fantastic though.
