Well guys, the title says it all.

What is your least favorite army? This doesn't mean just "least favorite to play against", or "Least favorite fluff"

I just mean generally. And for what reason?
Mine personally is those Necrons! Playing them is super frustrating, their fluff is total ! and, well, Ward.

Also, let's all act like adults. No need to start a flame war.

Any marine codex that isn't vanilla marines. It bothers me that I can "taste the rainbow" of different SM chapters but other, non-marine codeces have gone without an update for freaking ever.

*starts poping knuckles and gnashing teef* Don't like 'ow we talk egh humie?! Don't like our shiny models with killy blades and lot'sa gunz?! Fine den time ta bring dis complain to da Custumer SERVUS De-partment!

*30 boyz pound fists and narrowed eyes* Oy! You need elp'?

Nah it's fine, shocking you have the manly bits to say that on an Ork Forum tho. I personally love the orks, their models and fluff. everything about them is the ultimate bully race to me.'

So My choice was a hard one between SOB, Eldar and Necron. I decided to choose Eldar but only because I've played them and become intimately aware of their fluff before i saw reason and embraced the Waaagh! To me eldar are not only needlessly emo their fluff doesn't support their actions nor do their models characteristic make sense (Wraithlord > C'tan Nightbringer or any models really). For a race which tries to see the future and predict all facets of their role in fate they seem to have the smallest of influences even with the story of Ghazzy they said Eldrad made Ghazzy and his response was "Well den, dat was the worst mistake you could have ever made!"

I dunno i hope their codex breaths some damn backbone and respect back into the race because right now they seem to be the most sniveling to me you know it's bad when the Tau can look more badass with their last stands than the eldar, not to mention the fact almost all eldar using the same repeative tactics is utter frustrating to me... then again by buddy wants nothing more than to smash me which hasn't happened in years and i am probably just burnt out on facing them over and over and over and over and over and over and thinking "STOP I WANNA WAAGH ON DEMONS OR SOMETHING"

Grey Knights get the most votes yet there's not a single post to say why; I'm guessing people don't want to post 'Grey Knights because I can't beat them'.

Anyway, I voted Nids. It's not that I don't like them, it's just I like them a lot less than all of the other armies.

I voted Grey Knights.

I played them, not against them.

I just don't think they have any reason to exists as a stand alone codex. They're supposed to be super rare and pitted against the mightiest of foes.

Instead they've become a standard army attacking whatever is nearby. I prefer the original Grey Knights. One squad. Only used when the opponent has daemons in his army.

I'm with you.
I hate playing against them (mostly because of the players I've faced, not specifically the army)
I dislike a lot of the fluff.
I do think the models look decent and think that the good scratchbuilding that happens is cool.
I dislike that poor scratchbuilders make models that don't look good and say "BAH DEYS ORKY WAGH!" and write it off.

So I guess it's more of a player thing than that specific army - I've just seen it more often with Orks than the other armies.

Grey Knights, and it's a combination of both fluff and game reasons.

Fluffwise, it's because it's suppossed to be single squads versus entire incursions. They're suppossed to be incredibly rare, and deployed only to instances where the taint of Chaos has grown so strong that conventional forces can no longer be sufficient to contain the threat. Entire armies of Grey Knights, fighting against the entire rainbow of Imperial enemies, is simply infuriating. Likewise, having them as anything but an allied contingent makes me wince, ESPECIALLY when it's not against Codex: Chaos Space Marines or Codex: Chaos Daemons.

Gamewise, it's because they have magical ammunition that somehow simply shreds any of the Imperial equivalents. Yes, I understand they are supposed to be super marines, but I do not understand why Psybolts do ANYTHING against non-Daemons or Psykers. Why would a Necron even remotely care about Psy-nullifying ammunition? On top of that, things like the Dread Knight just scream "we couldn't think of any ideas, let's hash out some expensive model BS to go along with the launch".

I regularly play against Grey Knights with both Guard, Space Marines, and Necrons (and occasionally with Tyranids), and I really hate the codex.

I voted purely on aesthetics. I like almost all the model ranges a lot. However, Tau just really look like poorly copied Robotech.
The design seems kind of lazy, simplistic, and boxy.
There are so many amazing looking walking robot suit models in the world of modeling, that I just can't accept that this was the best they could do.

Eldar: the only army I can stand playing and also the only army that I can't hate any more than I already do.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

I went with Necrons, for the fluff and some of the new rules.

Chaos in general, because the players (at least in my area) are douches. (Go figure I'm working on a Chaos Demon army with Traitor Guard allies).

Tau, love the idea and rules hate the models.

And the Nid table me every time.

SOB, just because they don't feel like a real army anymore and never have had much in the way of love from GW. Models are bad, fluff is a bit meh. Just the one army I can't see myself collecting at the moment.
