This Is Where the Fish Lives

In honor of Dark Vengeance, I decided to start up some Iron Warriors Chaos Space Marines. This is my first CSM model and I had a blast painting him up as well as building his display. I made this display because I've never done one before and figured I could use the challenge. Enjoy the pictures and please feel free to leave comments and criticisms!

That's a great model. Love the paintjob and the pose as he strides forward to find someone else to kill. If I could make a criticism, it'd be that the tree is rather too big - you're making the lord himself look small, which isn't really what you want out of a mighty champion of chaos. Perhaps a little pruning is in order?

Overall though, I love it. Great character with great atmosphere.

there's smoke in my iris, but I painted a sunny day on the insides of my eyelids

Love the paintjob on the model and on the fantastic looking base. But i do share the same criticism about the tree. Its just too big.

Still its a great looking piece.

I'll echo what the above have said about the tree; it's too tall.

The rest of the piece is lovely, however. Really loving the base.

Thank you for the comments and you'll be pleased to know that I addressed the tree issue and trimmed it to a more appropriate height. I'll snap a new picture and update when I have a spare moment. Thanks!
