Gorgeous work as always! That source lighting is a little over the top, but it's very cool and eerie.I honestly like the power axe even more than the source lighting; it looks comparatively simple but really lovely. It's rare to see a power weapon essentially the same color as the base model stand out like that. The use of press-molding was smart, and the result is fantastic on that shoulderpad. The only thing I don't really like is the red helmet. It's well painted, but the first on the forehead just kinda blends in with it instead of standing out like it would if the helmet was left blue. Regardless, the painting is top notch and the results are excellent!
Thank you for a well written constructive critique!! I don't think I have mastered the OSL technique yet. It is brighter in video than in hand but I know it could be better.
The thunderhammer painting technique I use is the same colour scheme so I already had a heads up to how I thought it would look on an axe.
Agreed on the red helmet, I was going to paint his helmet white for the exact reason you state bUt ventured ahead with red. This too could have been changed to make it look better.
Thanks so much, I really do appreciate your honest words!

This makes me want to pick up a brush and start painting again. I just have to keep reminding myself that it's only about a week till I shall have models and paints..
But anyway, love the model! I used to have CF, and I've always thought them to be the best looking chapter
Woah dude!!! Your forearm muscles are huge compared to your wrists... the model is awesome too!

That is spectacular. The only thing I would do is lighten the lens of his helmet on the side with the OSL to match the one on the other side. I always figured the eyes on power armor helmets were luminescent, but to each his own. This model looks great.
Awesome video, thanks for sharing! A little constructive criticism... You still haven't nailed the OSL yet. Your painting is masterclass until it comes to the OSL and am not good enough to help you. I've seen it done where it doesn't look like it was with hit with a airbrush and really look like its glowing and I really wish to understand how to do it myself.
Thanks so much guys for the honest feedback!! I know I still have to improve my OSL, and will keep working at it! Cheers guys, I really do appreciate it!
