So I'm building a air cav guard army, with inquisitorial GK allies, and I need something to make them stand out. I play at a GW store so I can't convert much using non-GW parts, probably just the head. there's just one restriction: my dad is crazy about heavy metals, so the parts can't have any lead in them or he'll throw them out and any model they're attached to. Show me some pics of the heads and I can think up a theme and paint job around them. right now what I'm thinking about is these heads:

The story would be that they're from a once feudal world that had it's tech level suddenly raised by a rogue trader and so it's high tech with a medieval aesthetic.

anybody got any other ideas?

There's always Pig Iron, they have a large range of heads that fit well with guard.

Yea but they contain lead, I had to throw them out when my dad saw their packaging.

They're cast in pewter, which used to contain lead, they use another material now in place of the lead, so, I **believe** that they don't contain lead, just the material that they are made from used to. And, even if they did, it would be such trace amounts you'd probably have eat so many you'd die from consuming metal before you did of lead poisoning.

Did your dad throw out all your familie's cell phones? The wave emissions from them is far more dangerous than the miniscule amount of lead in those heads( which would would only be dangerous if you actually ate a couple hundred of them)...

I'm not saying it's reasonable, but it's his house and I just live in it half the year (in school the other half) and there's a sticker on the packaging of the ones I got a few months ago said "warning: contains lead". Besides we all have out little neuroses.

It's true. Rationally, there are things far worse in the environment than the lead in those heads.. especially if you use latex gloves, wash hands, and don't drill or sand it.

But if you don't feel like arguing with your dad, w/e

(i would go through the garbage and save them for later tho)

It's not that I don't want to argue with him, it's that he can outsmart me. He's a big time corporate lawyer, I'm just a pre-law student, I haven't even got into the legalise dictionary yet.
@CT GAMER: He knows whats in the glue, it's just heavy metals he cares about. My family's in the plastic business we know all the long chain hydrocarbons and petrochemicals. It took three hours to explain the difference between what forge world is made of and what regular GW is made of.

BTW anyone know why when I google "wh40k feudal guardsman" I get a bunch of samurai? Is google trying to tell me to start a feudal japan guard army?

Honestly I can't think of any specific air-cav style heads out there for IG. In fact I think short of Forge World's Elysian drop troop conversions most are just post apocalyptic, WWII, or WWI style heads.

Maximini does have some airborne/beret/commando style heads that are resin, and look good. Thats about the only "air-cav" style heads I can think of.
