I've been hearing mixed comments on the new FAQ's for Tyranids and with the BRB FAQ. Some love it, some hate it.
What are your thoughts on it? What changes do you like? What changes do you hate?

The only major change I see is FMCs now having access to skyfire, which is greater than I can put into words. But then I didn't really read in depth the rest of the FAQ. Also the "TFtD attack hitting flyers" argument has been put to rest- but then no one really cared about that before.

Being able to have stealers come in from reserve and assault is outstanding. I think it could really help in the long run. Honestly I think that Nids are far more viable now than they have been in a while, players just need to really look at the options we have.

Where was that? All I saw was confirmation that Ymgarl Genestealers could still assault from Dormant, which wasn't really a point of contention for anyone, since special rules are allowed to override rulebook rules (as per the 'basic vs advanced' section in the rulebook). Normal Genestealers still can't assault from reserve.
Skyfire going to FMCs is, as said, outstanding. FMC's dropping into 'gliding' is how we played it anyway, as it was obviously the intention.
Overall, aside from Skyfire going to FMCs, nothing in the FAQs is anything that came up in our games, or its how we played it anyway.

Yea I meant the Ymgarl stealers. We've been playing it where NOTHING can assault from reserves period... so it's a boon for me I guess

What I am happy about is that Trygon Primes are characters. Sure they can't LOS, but 5)6 attacks base at AP2 (with smash) and 12 Str 5 shots with Prescision Attacks is beastly. Plus they can now challenge and pick out Sergeants and PK Nobs.

Yup, Nids got some decent stuff in this FAQ.
However, Lash Whips did get slightly nerfed. They now only reduce enemy models to Int 1 that are in base-to-base at the beginning of the fight sub-phase. So models that move into base-to-base with a Lash Whip during the fight sub-phase attack at their initial Int. At least that's how it is RAW.
Other than that though, very pleased with the Nid FAQ.
