This is just a fun little topic that my gaming group used to discuss during downtimes
Does anyone have any idea's for a TV show based around 40k?
A couple of my personal favourites were Late Night with Kharne where Kharne the Betrayer would host his own talk show with other Berserkers in the audience, just a typical late night show where he'd have his coffee cup on the desk and interview celebrities and every once in awhile in a fit of rage take out gorechild and there'd be "technical difficulties" with a shot of a bloodthirster strangling a poor guardsmen
The other show would be Farseer and friends, would be sort of a cartoony kiddy show where the farseer would teach life lessons to his guardian and aspect warrior friends
and most recently I had the idea for Sigvald in Space I think it would be kind of like a Buck Rogers like show where he'd have a little sidekick (watcher in the dark?)...he's a bad guy I know but hey! lol
TV shows aside we also came up with the idea of 40k: The Musical where would have a Commissar singing about heresy while guardsmen were leaping about fighting chaos!
so yes....this is what I think about when I'm bored...this is the mind of madness!
Looking forward to the opening of 40k: The Musical

I firmly stand behind the idea of a 40k Saturday morning cartoon in the early 90s. It's when the game was its most cartoonish, and it would have made for a crazy fun cartoon alongside Exo Squad, Gargoyles, and so on.
Slightly off topic, but if youve ever seen the cheezy movie "the mutant chronicles" its basically 40k in all repsects, with guardsman and such, and fighting an enemy that is strangely like tyranids.

6,000 points (Order of Our Martyred Lady)
Proud Countess of House Terryn hosting 7 Knights, 2 Dominus Knights, and 8 Armigers
Stormcast Eternals: 7,000 points

More like Mutants than Tyranids.
Starship Troopers was Tyranids.
There's another movie about a ship traveling through space where everyone on board is asleep and the guy in charge goes crazy. I felt it was a pretty good analog of 40k.

... and of course, then there is also everyone's favourite pseudo 40k movie ...
... but concerning the TV shows OP was referring to, I'd be all in favour of Farseer and Friends. Late Night with Kharne sounds a little too much like that Space Ghost show. Still, could be cool.

A CGI 40k cartoon shown on Cartoon Network that while meant for children, featured heavy violence/death/fairly mature stories like Star Wars: Clone Wars could actually work. There just needs to be greater publicity, GW cooperation, and a real production team brought in.
The most realistic scenario for the above, following a Squad of Space Marines (from whatever chapter they see fit) as they battle the myriad enemies of the Imperium.

I don't know if you had this fad in the states but a couple of years ago in Sweden, there were quite a few shows about the paranormal and hauntings. The show would have mediums, psychics and what have you, actually go out to people whose homes were supposedly haunted and try to help them out. That could be something for Draigo I imagine, or just a random Inquisitor.
Personally I'd love to watch a gardening show hosted by a Wraithlord.

Starring that girl from Twilight.
Automatically Appended Next Post:
Already been done. Had hotter chicks than the twilight skank in it too. Its called "Battlestar Galactica" and you can watch the whole thing on netflix. All the ships even look the same, the ressurection ark, the doomscythes...
As insomnia grips me and I'm reading First Heretic for the second time a couple more come to mind such as..
Ferrus Manus' day off in which he and Fulgrim take the Emperors Landspeeder and get into all sorts of hijinks while Malcador the Sigillite (that's his name right?) tries to track them down
the other show would be the Odd Couple starring Leman Russ and Lion El Jonson
one is a neat freak known for meticulous planning and cleaning his homeworld of chaos spawn...the other is the product of a feral world and known for leaving his beer cans all over the floor...what will happen this week?

Papa Nurgles cooking hour.
Damocles Gulf (Just imagine Tau acting like they were on the jersey shore)
How to catch a Heretic, done by an inquisitor
How to catch a Lictor, with Sergeant Harker.
Ravenor (Do it like old school scooby doo)
Really any 40k could easily be turned into an anime, just gotta throw in someone with massive boobs.
Really any porn channel could easily do Sisters of Battle

I'm imagining a VH1 special, 'Followers of Slaanesh: The real story', that follows a band, 'Followers of Slaanesh' who are really Noise Marines, but not the new ones, but the ones from the 80s when they still had actual sonic guitars
Horus Heresy BBC Special
Horus Heresy History Channel Special
Pimp My Rhino
Warpass with Brother Knoxville
If they did a 40k TV series that was actually true to how grity and violent 40k is, it would need to be very similar to Spartacus. As in, on a premium network like Starz so it can be as violent as it wants and with as much cursing. It would problably also be something different every episode, as in a new short story every episode kinda like The AniMatrix.
