DA v CSM Campaign, inspired by the new Dark Vengeance box set, first game on Thursday 13-Sep-2012... battle report and pics to follow. Feedback on the campaign idea appreciated...

The Nemesis Incident
Some 10,000 years ago, the Arch-Traitor Luther of the Dark Angels Legion, was tempted to Chaos and dragged many of his brethren with him. On the return of Lion El'Jonson to fabled Caliban, after the Horus Heresy had ended, a terrible battle ensued between the loyalist and traitor forces. At the last moment, Luther repented and the Chaos gods sent a vast Warp Storm that carried away the Fallen Dark Angels and spread them across the known galaxy.

For those 10,000 years the Fallen have been hunted by the Dark Angels who must right the stain on their honour.

Cypher, amongst all the Fallen is the most notorious; Capricious in intent, supremely dangerous in effect, he has run the Imperium and the Dark Angels ragged time and time again. But does he serve Chaos, or does he seek to strengthen the Imperium, his actions have often been perceived to pursue both ends.

Along with two other Fallen and a war host from The Brethren, Nurgle worshiping Chaos Space Marines, Cypher has descended on the Nemesis Sub-Sector disrupting production and supply routes to the nearby Cadian Gate in the Segmentum Obscurus.

But all may not be as simple as it seems; spontaneous Cultist uprisings, problematic Warp travel and crippling political machinations all suggest there is more to this than just the ravaging of Imperial territories. The Dark Angels have responded, the Dark Angels are coming, but can they unravel Cypher’s plot and capture the Fallen…
