So after this week I needed something with both zombies and explosions and Resident Evil 5 - Zombie Explosion seemed to fit the bill.

I've not seen any of the films since Resident Evil 1 - Look! Zombies! but I didn't feel I'd missed any plot.

It's a video game, fight through the zombies and bosses through 4 levels (which the movie actually outlines for us) and then get out. And somehow a helicopter flies from Siberia to Washington DC.

The ending is promising, the last humans making a stand in the fortified White House against a million billion zombies.

So yeah, it gets the much coveted score of 3/5 stars! Which for a movie about zombies and explosions is practcially a 5 star rating.

No one likes zombies and explosions?

We do, but those films were bad, and I hate you for liking one of them.

We could rent out a green screen and make a Dakka Dakka movie.

It'd have babes; cars; trolls; guns; orks; explosions; steamy love scenes between rival members; transformers; space marines... you name it, it's in there... somewhere... probably...

End it with a sock covered CRASSUS ARMOURED ASSAULT TRANSPORT bursting through a wall and unloading a legion of Busey Trolls and Dachshunds wearing Mat Ward masks, brandishing pitches for new background story and YMDC discussions spawned from the ramshackle rules that accompany them. When people complain about it being a pile of shat goblin gak, simply blame them for buying tickets in the first place and refuse to issue refunds in any other form than DCM time. A lengthy discussion about a Space Marine and a Halo Spartan fighting should be playing in the background from the start, occasionally going off on a tangent about Imperial Guard fighting Clone Troopers. All the while a ticker of news directly streaming from Daily Mail should be at the bottom.

As for the RE films, I think they split off from the actual story around what, the second one? I know they haven't been all that great since the first which I guess was alright.

It would make like a million billion dollars.

With the current trend of movie naming, it'd be likely that the name has already been reserved.

Bit confused with your film titiles are you talking about the awesome Resident Evil films with the lovely Mila ?

I did not like this movie, I made no sense, its like they tried to do with alice what they did with ripley in aliens, but i did not get sad at all when the kid got taken.
Also, where did the las plagas come from? Who are those guys with axes, am i supposed to be sad or happy?
And where does umbrella keep getting the material to make all this stuff? The world has ended. i doubt you can get clone juice very easily

I saw in the trailer one thing that really annoyed me, and pretty much stopped any desire for me wanting to see the full film. (The epic failure that was no. 4 accounting for the rest)

They brought back characters from the first film. In and of itself this is not a bad thing. They just brought back a character that turned into a zombie and got shot in the face with a .45.

It wasn't even one of those ambiguous death scenes that could possibly allow someone to come back in a sequel. She got turned into a zombie and shot in the face. All on camera.

Apparently the guy that got turned into cubes with the laser corridor thingy got brought back too, but I knew I wasn't going to watch it anyway by the time I learned that...

I will watch it once it hits cable. I love Milla so its a given...

Yeah, But what ticked me off the most was the fact that they wanted to make an escape from the facility movie, but wanted to add as many car chases and other things. I mean, recreating Tokyo and a suburban neighborhood.
Surely making a hyper advance computer would allow you to run highly realistic computer programs.

Today I picked up ZOMBIE!! EXPLOSION!! Part 4 from the local pirate video shop. I felt I missed too many subtle points in ZOMBIE!! EXPLOSION!! Part 5 due to not having kept up.

My brother and I laughed the hole way through the movie. We find the umbrella corporation's business plan preposterous, they make millions of clones to be eaten by zombies in a room filled with expensive sports cars.

Stilled enjoyed it though.
