I wouldn't push the disks, with the nerf to Look out sir, they are just a waste of points

calypso2ts wrote:Fateweaver and a Lord of Change are too much for 1k points in my opinion.

I would go with this:

The Blue Scribes

6x Flamers w/ Pyrocaster
6x Flamers w/ Pyrocaster

9x Horrors w/ Changeling
9x Horrors

9x Screamers

At this point level, wreck the rest of his army and ignore flyers for the most part. The Flamers and Screamers will cook/eat anything else

Honestly, this is the best build you are going to get at mono-tzeentch at 1k. Follow calypso's lead and go with this army. He knows what he is talking about. I might even change the troops to 3 squads of 6 horrors, but on second thought, keeping them bunched in large groups is going to keep first blood out of your opponents hands.

Well I would like to use the disks as much as the next guy, but with the BRB FAQ changing so much that it is basically useless for Look out sir. Sure you can swap around guys, but honestly it would be better to take more flamers in place of the heralds points and just have them take the wounds bluntly.

But on the subject of horrors. I have only used them once, mainly because i have always been an assault kind of guy, but also because i always use plaguebearers. I do this simply because they are better at holding objectives and cheaper. But if you are running a mono-tzeentch build i can't voice too much of an opinion on the horrors and what they can do.
