I was thinking the tda priest takes wolf powers and the pa priest takes divination.
the wg also have power axes so they can deal with cc if it gets to that.

Similar to what I run. I have one less unit of long fangs and only one priest, adding in two Lone Wolves in TDA with a TH or CF, and a couple of Fensrisians. Another option is to replace the RP with a WP, with saga of the hunter. Getting a GH pack in the back field can really mess up an opponents plans, and it makes use of our sadly nerfed Acute Senses ability. The Lone Wolves also cause havoc, giving the GH cover as they advance across the board. I also try and find the points for a small unit of GH to hang in the back to hold objectives, or provide cover to the other units if needed.

You can save some points by putting flamers in the plasma packs, giving you enough to give the outflanking unit (if you choose to go that way) Mark of the Wolfen.

I really think you should put the combi-plasmas with the plasma grey hunters and the combi-meltas with the melta grey hunters.

I also think it's worth it to drop the chooser of the slain (10 points) in order to get two meltaguns in each of your melta GH squads (5 pts each). The flamers are pretty much useless.

Otherwise, I think it's a good list for 1500.

Yes 2 wg are armed with combi melta and 2 are armed with combi plasma and one has a cml.

Sorry i was writing this on my phone and got the wg mixed up its supposed to be plasma with plasma and melta with melta.

To be honest, I think you're wasting points with the heavy bolters in the last group of long fangs. What I would do, is take out that squad for a drop pod for your WG and have them all take melta bombs so you'd be amazing at flanking your enemy. I think that would be a better way to get them into the fight then walking their chubby suits across the fields to fire there 1 12 inch shot a piece. (:

What I was asking was if your wolf guard are all terminators or are they in power armor. Obviously the CML has terminator armor - what about the others?

I'm not sure a unit stranded out on it's own would do very well in this army, not being able to charge after landing would mean at least 2 turns of being shot to hell so really unless you are going all drop pod one squad isn't a good choice. The force multipliers of having numerous units of the same load out or function is rather surprising, one on their own is usually shockingly poor while 2-3 can be game breakingly good. Long fangs with missiles are a good example, 1 squad is ok, they do a good job. Two squads are very good, while three will missile spam most things off the board.

It's not the size of the blade, it's how you use it.

This is an excellent point, not just for switching HBs to Missiles, but in general. I always point out that one of a "super unit" or "super vehicle" is never enough and that redundancy is key to making sure dice and opponents' counters don't screw you over.

Back to the point: Ditch the heavy bolters for more missile launchers.

HBs aren't a terrible choice, they do give you 15 shots that can rip apart eldar, guard, orks and nids. Plus sheer weight of numbers will do some damage to terminators.

They aren't subject to their effectiveness against hordes being nerfed by spreading a unit out to a full 2" between models.

2 squads of missiles at 1500 can do a lot of good.

I think having 17 missiles a turn is a bit excessive.
Plus i would loose either plasma as well asmelta and tda on a priest.

17 missiles is ova kill imo i like the hb models as well. as the 15 shots will be fun to roll.
