Subject: West Wind Heads- Improperly Cast?

Hello,
I got some SOTTR heads the other day (the British Gask Mask heads to be exact). Eight of the casts were quite standard, and only required some filing down of the mold lines to be tabletop playable. However, the other heads seemed to have been improperly cast, with one sight being lower than another, and pretty much impossible to salvage by my reckoning. I'll post some pictures when I go to my workroom, but what should I do in the meantime? Call West Wind? The problem is that I have already taken them out of the package.

I don't know much about West Wind or their packaging, but I would assume, from a logical standpoint, that it's not something you can necessarily tell easily while they're IN said packaging. Even so, it's not like it's anything you could have done to the parts anyway, so I say call them. Not like you have anything to lose, after all, nothing ventured, nothing gained right?

Generally West Wind is fairly quality stuff.
However, miscasts do happen from time to time for any number of reasons. If you think you have some either contact the retailer or the manufacturer regarding the issue. Most will gladly make arrangements to make things right. Some of the smaller enterprises though can take a little longer in order to settle up though (with West Wind, I have normally gone back to the retailer as that was more convenient given them over there and me over here).
For Funk - not sure specifically which ones you are after - but they have pretty clear pictures on their site. You can see how they compare size wise all over the place:

Thanks for the link, I was looking at the WWII british helmets to use for my foot guard. Give them a bit more WWI feel.
