Hey Dakka, I was wondering what you think of this idea that I was cooking up inside my head for quite some time. Would anybody here pay for Forge World miniatures of Relic Entertainment's Dawn of War and Warhammer Space Marine video games? I'm talking about characters like Gabriel Angelos, Apollo Diomedes, Eliphas The Inheritor, Lord General Castor, Inquisitor Adrastia, Nemeroth, Captain Titus, Lt. Mira, and Kaptin Bluddflagg. Each figure would have it's own experimental rules, like all Forge World miniatures do.

Also, Relic has made some nice units that dont have exact physical representation on the tabletop, and I'd bet they'd look good. Ill shoot a few examples of what I mean.

Heretic squad, equipped with autopistols and swords or autoguns and grenade launchers.

Captain Titus equipped with Vengeance Launcher, ( Would be quite interesting on the tabletop.)

Chaos Lord Nemeroth with lightning claws (one can harness warp energy like Lufgt Huron).

Lord General Castor with Long Las and sword.

Renegade Graian Milita with refurbished Lasguns.

203rd Cadian Regiment with Scoped Lasguns. (Could come in a squad with Lt. Mira

So, what do you think about this idea?

Mira and Castor would be cool, if only to add some variety to your force. Nothing to special about the space marines or chaos. The cultists look ok.

Yeah i'd be cool with Mira. Even just for a single decent looking female guardsmen.

I would actually be tempted to get some imperial guard to run as allies if they cast a Sgt. Merrick.

I would definitely go for Nemeroth. He would look great running in a chaos army.

Sorry for the off topic-ness, but THIS it brought back the memories of hearing this green beast yell SPACE MARINE at 12:00 AM.

Obvious answer here for me

I'd be all over General Castor. The dude's Joseph Stalin and Freddie Mercury's big game hunter lovechild.

Love that dude.

Firaeveus Carron. Allows you to upgrade any weapon in your army with Armourbane for a couple of points.

Hells yeah, this would be awesome.

Vengeance Launcher: 24" Str4 Ap5, Assault 2, Blast
Vengeance Grenades: Fire the weapon as normal, but do not roll to wound after determining the number of hits. Instead, the controlling player may chose to roll to wound at the start of any phase up to the start of his next turn.

Haha, I was expecting somebody to say this eventually. /tg/ has their own homebrew rules for a Boreale HQ.

Ah! Sorry about that one. I have a little more knowledge in the Dawn of War 2 series that the first one, so he escaped my mind. Regardless, he would make a fine tabletop miniature

Hell yeah, go Castor! Puts Creed to shame in personality wholeheartedly.

Hmm, that's quite interesting rules on the vengeance launcher would work. It's not like any other 40k weapon we know.

Krieg! What a hole...

I was thinking more of something like, you fire at something with a str 1 shot and if you hit, you get to trigger a small blast at some point (If you wound and the Grenade killed its target then you have to leave the corpse here, you can still trigger the grenade at any time)

This-Have an exalt. Though since my crusader squads can no longer score from their epic bawkses, methinks Carron has made his way into game design...
