With the new Chaos dex on the way I was wondering if there is any point in suggesting this, but hey its worth seeing if anyone thinks its half decent.

I was thinking that chaos armour is essentially has become partially fused with the wearer and any gifts that have been bestowed on them. As such this armour would be quite powerful one would think. So rather than sticking to the mundane 2+ power armour option I figured why not have it scale with the AP of the weapon used?

Granting a 3+ against AP4 and altering it from there depending on the AP. For instance, AP3 would decrease the save by one to a 4+, AP2 would be 5+ and AP1 is 6+, so it does not negate the save but just make it harder to make. AP5 however makes the save 2+, AP6 could grant a reroll at 4+ and AP- as just a flat reroll.

'Ahh Bausk but what about weapons that flat out ignore saves?' Well theres no denying this one, if its that powerful then you got to expect it to punch though.

Thoughts?

That'd be terrifying to fight against if you were IG. When just about every model on the board is the equivalent of a terminator 70% of the time, not really sure if I'd like to play them to be honest.

I like it, however, I would consider making it have a special rule like "Daemon Armour" or something, where any roll of a 1 (after rerolls) results in instant death for the model wearing the armour, just to make it a bit, you know, more chaosy.

Oh geez, I tend to forget some people don't know older version of the chaos dex. Chaos armour was the chaos version of artificer armour 2 dex's ago (as of this latest one). It was not available to everyone and nor should it be considering the power of the suggested rule for it lol.

I suspected something was off, giving this to everyone would be horribly, horribly broken. Putting it on Possessed, however, might be an interesting way to represent their wacky mutant fused daemon state thingy, maybe try that?
