ok well I am looking for a few bits for a new army and kind of need help.
does anyone know someone who does commision casting? I want a ravens claw lance tip, and some helmets for knights, for warhammer fantasy.
Also I want a set of resin bases, its for an empire knightly order, I am torn between cobbled streets with all the possibilities there for fun lil things, or I am kinda tempted by the idea of having them in a graveyard so points ov view and advice on makers would be awesome.
I will update this with pics if anyone is interested, It will be really slow going I think as this is my first aim at a showpiece army. colour scheme is at this moment, black with purple accents, mainly going to go with a brass metal and the decals will be black roses and such.
the main iconography will draw from the raven guard imagery and use the aquilla and generally be very bleak and germanic.
thanks for the help over the years with rule, painting inspiration and amusement as a lurker.
thanks for reading and hopefully helping to build a cool image.

Commission casting is sadly illegal, but there are parts available individually online. You can find what you need, try "Let the Dice Decide"

Only if you're casting someone elses' work which is protected by copyright. If he wants someone to actually sculpt something or sculpt it himself and then get someone else to cast it, there's nothing wrong with that as far as I'm aware.

Commission casting isn't illegal. Casting someone else's parts is "illegal", however someone sculpting parts and then cast them for him (which is how I took his post) certainly isn't.
OP, for your bases check out Microartstudio, pretty sure they have graveyard and cobblestone ranges for fantasy.

True. I was referring to the casting of Fantasy Knight helmets or the such.

casting a custom designed knights helm for a fantasy look. wont be illegal unless gw have managed to get bills passed into law leaving them.the only company working in a fantasy universe im.sure. you want a set of knights helms that draw on real styling that fit the fantasy look i wabt ie full joust style helms on battle miniatures. i want a beaky style helm the fits the idea of an order of the raven. so its something that wont exist already in a historical game. I was wondering if there were companies that would do this kind of work. same for my lance tip idea. as far as i know it isnt illegal to cast stuff that is designed for a model set and to fit into the world of whfb.
the microarts tip has been very helpful thank you very much.

I don't mean to be the grammar police, but atleast try to hit shift or enter a couple of times. However, it is a ground rule on the boards:
"5. Please be intelligible. We strongly encourage proper punctuation, spelling, grammar and composition, but if we can't understand you, we'll ignore you. Before you post, hit the Preview button and double-check what you've written before posting it, and remember that you can always go back and edit your posts to fix any problems."
I think I understand what you are looking for so I advise you to ask for custom modeling, not casting. Be forewarned that it is hard to find someone willing to do it and most people that actually do custom modeling don't do it for cheap.

Fighting with a touchpad keyboard while having hand tremors makes life slightly difficult whilst editing unfortunatly. Waiting for a new keyboard since mine met death at the hands of a toddler with a "biggirl cup"....
try hunting using the modelling angle and as for the money, in my experience you can get things cheap, fast and high.quality if you pick two. also why is it so many custom modeling services have crap blurry badly focused photos?
