My first session went really well and everyone enjoyed it. i am now about to start Purge the unclean and really looking forward to it.
my question is, how much info do you give to the PC's when they first enter an area, obviously what you are told to paraphrase in the books but other then that..

I give the PCs everything I can reasonably expect them to know. If they're entering a dark cave with an angry Striking Scorpion clinging to the ceiling above them, they won't be told of the enemy's presence until someone tells me they're shining a light up, for instance.
