Well, I preordered the Enforcer box set for 46 models, and they arrived at my house today (week and a half to ship from UK, not too bad), and I've been working on putting them together. Few issues with flash, but is anyone else out there thinking the same thing as me, that these are some of the most gorgeous Sci-Fi miniatures out there? I liked the look on the website, and putting them together, I feel they're leaps and bounds better than Space Marine models. This isn't just because I've turned away from the Dark Side of gaming, but I honestly love and prefer the Enforcers. Is there a place on Mantic's site where Enforcers have rules yet? I'm just curious to see how they'll play and their points on the table.

I like the greens and painted pics they had on these.
What material are they made from?

They are excellent models, I paid for a box and a painting tutorial at Mantic HQ tomorrow.
If you like I will post the result when I sober up on Sunday, I'm sure it will look fething awful because here is an excellent pub just down the road that I intend to nip into for a steady few before I go in...

To me, they look like a duller entry in the Infinity line.

About an hour after I posted, my box arrived. And it was a big, big box. Filled with lots and lots of packing peanuts. And also Enforcers. I will try to assemble a few this weekend if I gt any painting time.

That's probably why I don't like them. I really dislike the Infinity aesthetic as well.

I think they look way, way less anime that infinity. They have the same clean sci-fi look though.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better. |

Oddly, in a way I agree with this, but also agree that the Enforcers look great.
I think this can best be explained by the fact that the anime style is both modern and clean, but also over the top. The Enforcers line keeps the modern and clean, but tones it down a bit (still heroic scale, of course, so over the top, just not as far as Infinity).
It's no mistake that the Enforcers remind people so much of the modern movie interpretation of of the Iron Man armor; that's a design that is both evocative, but because it's based in a live action movie, it has a patina of realism to it.

I actually really like the Enforcer's Iron-Man look, and the similarities to Mass Effect and the realistic scifi armors in Infinity just help it.
While they're meant fluff and gameplay-wise to be not-Space Marines, I actually think that they make an extremely poor visual substitute for the bulky Space Marines, and rather think they'd make for absolutely amazing Necron Pariahs (If the newcron dex even has those. I don't recall atm), or IG stormtroopers, or maybe even Tau if you were willing to do the headswaps.
However, the Enforcer captain looks like a sexier version of how Space Marine Terminators should look imo, and I sincerely wish they eventually make a troop-version of that type of armor available, as I would looove to make a draigowing army with them instead of GW's Captain McShoulderpad Terminators

Imagine the feeling when you position your tanks, engines idling, landing gear deployed for a low profile, with firing solutions along a key bottleneck. Then some fether lands a dreadnought behind them in a giant heat shielded coke can.

I assembled my first squad last night. I can attest that, in accordance with that other thread, they are a bear to assemble. That said, once assembled they do look nice. I plan to prime them as soon as I finish this post, and maybe I can get some in-progress shots up in my plog.

Think they look really nice! They don't really fit the Infinity design aesthetic - I guess you could use them as some kind of O-12 heavily armoured response team, but I'm not sure how well the models would look alongside the Corvus Belli stuff.
Lot of potential though for different uses. Either Warpath itself, or there is an easy and cheap IG army for 40k using the standard Corporation guys for line infantry, then the enforcers as Storm Troopers (mounted in Valkyrie's of course )
