Quick and simple question. Do you get the "Shrouded" benefit from Disruption Pods if you're hit with a barrage weapon from more than 12" away?

Cover is taken from the center of the template...so the shot is essentially 1mm away. Disruption Pods only work at 12"+

On the other hand, the wording is a little weird. We get Shrouded if the shot is "being fired" from more than 12" away.

Just wanted some clarification. Thanks!

In that thread I sided on the argument that if the question asked is "Do they get Shrouded", then the answer is Yes. The question "do they get a cover save" is different and it's got me thinking...gotta stop thinking.

The shot is being fired from the firing Unit, not the landing spot. So you measure distance as normal. You determine cover from the center of the marker. You will get your shrouded cover save or any other applicable cover save.
