Whats the coolest fluff army you guys have seen?

Maybe is a pre-heresy army, or a Chapter/company?

I've seen a full Ultramarines second company at my local GW.

The most aweinspiering army I have seen is a 15000 point Praetorian army alongside a equaly large DKoK army.
Those two armies are the pinacel of painting/modeling I have ever seen and likelly to see

By far the coolest fluff army I have seen for 40k was an Ad Mech army that was entirely converted and very well painted. This guy also, appropriately had an Ordinatus Platform, which was freakin awesome. There was a link to the army somewhere on BoLS, not sure if its still there.

One of the local guys here had a really nice looking crusade space marine army. Each squad was from a different chapter. There is also this beast :http://www.thechaptermastersadvisor.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=244
beautifully done true scale loganwing army. It looks a lot better in person too.

Seeing how the two owners left my town no pictures can be produced. But would love to give Dakka some

Write one.

My favorite out of the fluff I've written is my explanation for why I've got a Grey Knights army painted Dark Angels Green and Boltgun Metal, which also managed to reconcile the 3e Grey Knights with the 5e Ward fluff: there was a political schism within the Grey Knights and the broader Inquisition over the creation of the post of Supreme Grand Master of the Grey Knights, which led to a brief conflict that ended in a good percentage of the Grey Knights up and leaving. My force represents a portion of a good-sized warband that aligned itself with Inquisitor Lord Alvarin Mathari, a powerful and somewhat eccentric Inquisitor who backed the faction of the Inquisition who broke with the High Lords of Terra; they repainted their armor to represent their new allegiance.

It's better than the old fluff I had for them (which involved a crusade at the edge of the galaxy that was cut off by a Warp storm for nine thousand years and developed independently of the Imperium into some pretty odd places), but it's still a work in progress.

There's a pre heresy World Eaters army at my FLGS in a display case. It's absolutely awesome, and anything that wouldn't 'fit' with World Eaters has been converted. There's a Predator Annihilator where the turret it replaced by two Devastators with lascannons sitting in the hatches, Razorbacks with the heavy bolters on side access doors that are swung up to reveal the door and other stuff. Chain axes and blood splatter everywhere. Nicest white army and blood effects I've ever seen.
