Hey Dakka, what's the general consensus about using loyalist stuff in a Chaos Space Marines force? Earlier a few weeks ago I had created a topic where I talked about the theoretical fluff for my undivided warband. http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/475655.page

Regardless, I'm more of a casual more painter type of guy, So I like to just give my army character more than anything else. One of my characters has a set of salvaged Grey Knight armor (represented by the Castellan Crowe model), would it be possible to represent this guy on the TT?

What I mean by "loyalist elements" is mostly just cosmetic (Guns, power armor), but maybe I'd like to throw in some "unique" stuff like the Tartaros Terminators or some Elysian Tauros in the hands of traitors. The Grey Knight model has a demon sword and wrist storm bolter, so how could

that be represented on the tabletop as a chaos soldier?

Using the rules (outside of what is allowed by the allies rule)? No.

Using the models to represent things with chaos rules? Sure, as long as it's clear what everything represents (special weapon carriers armed with something obviously not a bolter, vehicles the appropriate size, etc) and there's some kind of sensible theme beyond just "I can't afford enough chaos models to make a full army".

Using loyalist rules and models but calling them chaos? Sure, as long as it's clear what everything represents, it doesn't matter if the fluff and painting for your C:SM army is "most loyal of the Ultraultramarines", or "foulest traitors".

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.
