I don't see a problem with watching the show. There's too many internet trolls out there that love to cry "furry" about everything. Just because you're watching a show with pseudo-anthropomorphic animals does not make you a furry.

Now, I spend entirely too much time on the internet and know waaaaaaaay too much about various memes and strange internet subcultures. Furries are weird in my opinion, but they get a really bad rap due to the yiff crap that is out there. Not every furry is into the sexual aspect of it and not everyone who watches a show with anthropomorphism is automatically a furry. Even if you are, is there really something wrong with that?

Just because hentai exists does that automatically make every fan of anime a pervert? Not to mention the obscene amount of fanservice and perverted old men characters that exist in certain anime/manga. If you have an issue with sexually questionable animation and you're upset with MLP you're barking up the wrong tree. Anime/manga is infested with scantily clad school girls. Comic books are full of scantily clad heroines with massive busts and beyond skin tight pant suits. Video games...don't even get me started on video games, especially the mods that come out for games on the PC. Looks at tesnexus...looks back. /facepalm

The simple fact is that MLP:FiM is the best western cartoon to come out in several years. If you exclude the adult/teen shows (South Park, Family Guy, etc) it's the best to come out since CN's golden age when they had shows like Samurai Jack and Dexter's Lab on.

ok, I have now watched the first two episodes. So far. Rainbow Dash = awesome. Fluttershy seems cool too. Pinkie Pie, too cute.

Rarity, while having an awesome look and toy. Not doing it for me on the character front.

I better go to work before I spend all day watching this.

Agree with everything but this last part. Avatar: The Last Airbender was an amazing series and it came out several years after Samurai Jack and Dexter's Lab. Despite it's somewhat anime-ish appearance, it's a western show.

Of course, it's a more concentrated over-arching/epic storyline than most shows, so I'm not sure it's a fair comparison. Either way, I'd have to give it props even over MLP:FiM, even if it is a somewhat apples to oranges comparison.

Yes, the actual toys.

You can get them at walmart, toys 'r' us, and target. In fact, I bought a my little pony bed sheet set for the guest room.

I beleive you, but I can not find these ones in my local Walmart, Target, Toys R Us, Fred Meyer, etc. Not even on their websites.

They have the standard size ponies, but not the smaller ones with the molded hair.

According to the Hasbro website, they can be found individually for $1.99 and in packs of 4 for about $8.

I just dreamt I sat with my friend at a lake, when his parents (who didn't at all look like his actual parents) and his sister (in reality he doesn't have a sister at all) showed up, and sat down with us. I don't exactly remember what we talked about then, but thenhis mother said his sisters name in a question - "Pinkamena Diane Pie, what are you talking about?". Note however that his sister in the dream wasn't pink at all, and certainly didn't look like a pony. His sister then said "If you're going to call me that I won't talk to you. My name is Pinkie Pie!"

So, as it seems Pinkie Pie is his sister in an alternate dimension..? Or to the very least, that if he would watch it, Pinkie Pie might become his favorite?
