Hello people,
I'm relatively new to the 40k game, but I've been having an insanely good time playing at the local game shop. I started with Ultramarines, and am currently picking up some Space Wolves to start my next army. I've found that I enjoy painting my minis almost as much as playing with them (in a game of course). Right now I play in open table day and in a Friday league at the local Games Workshop. I mostly want to use this forum as a resource to increase my knowledge of 40k, including strategy, painting tips and lore.

I guess a good start would be: What advice do you guys and gals have for starting a Space Wolf Army? So far I have 10 grey hunters, two with plasma guns, and a terminator assault squad (minus one with an assault cannon and power fist.) I'm planning on picking up bits for my wolf lord, who I'm naming Nikulas Springborn, and a drop pod this week. What should my next piece be?
For now I'll be using the Wolves to supplement my Ultramarines, who are weaker on the assault and are better at long range shooting. Any tips/hints/ whatever?

I am not a SM or SW player but I can tell you welcome. If you came here for lore tips or strategy. You may need to set aside a week for reading cause you found it.

Welcome to Dakka, I am fairly new here as well but have been playing 40k for a couple years now.

As far as suggestions for Spacewolves... Rune Priests are supposed to be fairly gross right now, and Grey Hunters have always been nasty, they are equipped with a Bolter AND Bolt Pistol/Chainsword, they can switch at will, shoot 24" and then switch to BP/CS and get an extra attack on the charge.

For your SW list, just search the Army Lists section of the site. People are always posting lists of all sizes and of all armies. You'll find a SW one and get a lot of good advice and tips regarding direction and tactics, etc.
