Working on a Battlescribe catalog for the new CSM codex and want to make sure I'm understanding this.

Under the CSM troops entry it says that any CSM may take a CCW or trade his bolter, etc. This means that you can mix and match any of these choices in a squad, correct? So, in a squad of 10 CSM, you could have 3 with Bolter+BP, 3 with BP+CCW and 3 with Bolter+BP+CCW (AS has his own list to choose from).

Not making a judgement on whether this is a good idea or not, just trying to set it up right in BS.

Yes, you can give any of the models for that squad X weapon. It allows you to customize your CSM highly.

I think this comes down to WYSIWYG rules. If the model does not have a CCW then no +1A etc. Maybe they are enforcing WYSIWYG more so in 6th, especially with the new melee weapon rules (Power axes have their own profile etc).

It basically prevents your special weapon guys from having 2 CCWs. Which is fine.

So you can have a squad with all CCW, Bolter, and Pistol, except for the 2 guys carrying Flamers.

Not exactly. It states ANY model may pay for the CCW or swap the Bolter for a CCW for free, and one model can swap a bolter for one of the three special weapons. You can pay the points to give them the CCW in addition to the bolt pistol(technically a CCW) and bolter OR you can do the free swap of bolter for a CCW. So if you pay the points for the CCW, you can still swap out the bolter for a flamer, and have the bonus attack in CC from the pistol/CCW combo.
