Ok... so ive been reading a lot of Dan Abnet's books lately and a few other Guardsmen books and ive been aching to build a 36er, the rough description is that it is a support unit, kitted out with a powerful engine and large modular back end. Often carrying troops, Fuel, Basilisk munitions Ect. I'd like to make a few and use em as different variants of Tanks mounted on the Chimera modular chassis. My first issue is: i'm not comfortable with trying to scratch build them. And the second issue is that i have no clue if any company makes a Hero scale half-track.

What about modifying an Ork Trukk or Battlewagon? They have the appropriate track units and you can quite easily add plasticard rear ends to make them a bit less ramshackle.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

This. Perhaps surprisingly, both the trukk and battlewagon have quite sensible chassis (implying they were originally looted from some less silly race) under all the orky add-ons. Still quite a bit of plasticard work to make the new bodies though.

Could try to scratch build one. Using a 1/35 scale half track kit as a basis to work from.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.
