Whose is the genitive form of who that indicates possession. Who's is a contraction for who is; that is all it is.

As a discussion grows in length, the probability of a comparison to Matt Ward or Gray Knights approaches one.

Probably work

Oooh, good call. This should get stickied and made a required reading for new forum members, especially ones in the summer. Repeat offenders could have to take remedial English classes and show proof of passing before being readmitted to the forum!

Further, and briefly:

Their - Something belonging to or being possessed by they.

They're - "They are"

There - Adverb denoting at a point in time, at a particular location, something in existence, so on and so forth.

Lose - The opposite of win.

Loose - The opposite of tight.

a lot - A large quantity of something

alot - This thing:

versus - preposition meaning basically "against", usually in terms of a contest or a exclusive decision.

verse - A line in a song or poem. See: Bible.

Badum tish!

"Did you ever notice how in the Bible, when ever God needed to punish someone, or make an example, or whenever God needed a killing, he sent an angel? Did you ever wonder what a creature like that must be like? A whole existence spent praising your God, but always with one wing dipped in blood. Would you ever really want to see an angel?"

A grammar Nazi.

'A' denotes a singular object.

So it's either "We have grammar Nazis." (for more than one) or "We have a grammar Nazi." (for the singular item).

I already saw that. And the post after it.

The best thing, perhaps, is to feign poor grammar to have a little fun with them.

A duel is an arranged fight between two persons, historically often a fight to settle a slight to one of the participants honour or something similar.

Dual means that there's two of something.

My grammar is fine; she's probably reading a book at home.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
