ok, so here is a khorne list (yes another) im bound determined to find a khorne list that is competitive.

HQ:
Kharn - 160pts
Deamon Prince w/ DoK, Wings, Power Armour, AoBF - 255pts

Troops:
8 Zerkers w/ VotLW, power weapon, rhino - 220pts
8 Zerkers w/ VotLW, power weapon, rhino - 220pts
8 Zerkers w/ VotLW, power weapon, rhino - 220pts

9 Zerkers w/ WotLW, IoW, power weapon - 219pts
(kharn goes here. yeah, not a multiple of eight... but hey, cant have my cake and eat it too all the time)

Fast Attack:
8 Warp Talons w/ MoK, VotLW - 306pts
Helldrake w/ Hades Autocannon - 170pts

Heavies:
Land Raider - 230pts
(kharn and crew go here)

2000pts exactly

So i have almost 40 zerkers on the board. kharn provides some anti psyker-ism. the prince and warp talons can bum-rush the field to give time for the rhinos to arrive. the rhinos can shield the LR so kharn and boys can get out and cause hell. the helldrake provides much needed long range support as well as flyer defense. tell me what you think!!

How about Lightning Claws on champs? You'll probably he hitting on 3's in most challenges and I see that you spammed VotLW (good).

Loving the Warp Talons.. The 3 extra bodies ensures that they have more survivability to simple bolter rapid fire. If 3-4 get in, a SM or Necron unit is just going to go to sleep. I use MoTz on my 5 and they are super weak vs. small arms.

I don't like the Hades Autocannon. Have you tried the Baleflamer? It works every game for me, and there's not a single time where I wish he had the Hades. (so far)

Definitely a nice themed list.

Warp Talons...you do realize that when one makes a chart of good and bad units, WT are #1 on the bad side (actually more like #3 behind spawns and possessed). I mean, look at it. its 300+ points for either a bullet filled jump-slog (with no transport mind you) or a danger filled deep-strike. They act like vanguard with none of the options. Instead of a deep-striking assault, units within 6" can't shoot (or fire snap shots, I'm not sure). Drop, and invest in more Zerkers or another Helldrake.

Land Raider is an instant shoot me sign. Put Kharns squad in a rhino with the other rhinos giving it cover. Sure, you can't assault, but if you play your cards right the enemy should have to deal with 40 zerkers behind rhinos ready to assualt. Invest the points in some defensive units such as cultists on objectives or oblits/preds/maulerfiends/havocs/anything with a big gun. Sure, they aren't the most useful khorne units, but never underestimate a deep striking oblit, it causes carnage.

Other suggestions:
Drop ax on DP, it can kill enough on its own. better maintain that high WS (at least, thats just me)

Bikes have been hailed as ridiculously good for their points (just think about what would have happened if bikes could be unlocked as troops). A squad with melta or plasma guns can cause carnage

consider bringing zerker squads to 10 in all but khans, like you said, you can't have the cake and eat it

Ally some bloodletters and a blood thirster, or maybe some renegade guard. When a foe is assaulted on all sides, he's more likely to make a mistake

overall, a mono god list will never be top tier, theres a lack of good ++, shooting and psykers, 3 main elements of the game. Keep that in mind when playing competitively. Other wise good luck

-LC will reduce your attacks by one, I'd rather have the extra attack imho
-Problem is, 3-4 WON'T get in, no MoT or MoN means they die, like almost instantaneously, 5++ isn't good enough for what you pay
-You need anti-flyer, unless a S7 VS will clear the sky (most likely, it won't)

Fair enough but let's face it, any character who accepts a challenge will be destroying the champion outright. I'd rather have the re-roll to wound because it's probably a Tervigon!

i see what you mean. raptors might be the better choice. lemme go take another look.

as for the land raider, it (i think) will be atleast obscured by the rhinos. even then, they will be dealing with hell drakes (which i might use with the points from the warp talons + some other stuff to get another) and a deamon prince. hopefully this should help disperse some heat off the LR. Besides, the LR provides some much needed range support. if i can find the points i might drop in an oblit. like i said, this isnt an easy list to make decently competitive, i expect much critisism and many revisions. i thank you for the input (regardless of how much i push back, lol)

I'll agree with the warp talons not belonging there but I have faith on them, just need a list focused on making them work (which isn't a khorne one) I tried 10 of them + jump pack lord on the 1st game i had with the new codex, the rolls were against me and the came at the 4th turn, anyway they managed to destroy some poor PA troops before getting all killed by assault termies.

Anyway, I'd invest those points and the Daemon Prince on a Daemon Weapons Jugger Lord and a squad of 10 bikes now that's a scary unit, The rest of the points can easily go into more troop or some heavy support

Here is a new list. again, lord on jugger and bikes will bum-rus the field. givining time and taking heat off the rest of the force to get up the field. helldrakes provide decent long range support and ani-air. tell me what you think?
