Need some help finding some pieces for a conversion i have in mind. I want to make my CSM tanks for my thousand sons legion look like they have anti grav units on the bottom. I was thinking about taking a clear or blue colored plastic globe about 3/4" in diameter but i'm having a difficult time finding something suitable online or in my local hobby and hardware stores. If anyone has a web site that they have seen something that would work i would be grateful for any info you can provide me.

Acrylic Spheres come in dozens of sizes and colors:

You can also pick up vending machine capsules for dirt cheap - though the sizes are less varied:

Depending on what you are after specifically - you also have dozens of sizes and materials to choose from for the plastic floats to control evaporation and fumes on chemical baths:

And of course, if you are looking for something local - you can probably find something like these:

Don't recall the smallest size - but I know I have seen some bobbers which are close to 3/4"

What about hacking up the underside of a Land Speeder? They have nice textured bases for antigraviness. You can also get textured plasticard that you can do up as grav-plates, like my Diamondback conversion:

And painting it in a glowing way can help add to the effect. I'd also say make custom flight bases for these so they don't hover too high off the ground. It'd add to the effect that they don't actually fly, but just use something else to replace the tracks as they're still not skimmers and it'd help avoid any annoying arguments that may crop up later. Be sure to post pictures of it in progress and when completed though, it's something I've thought of once myself so I'm quite interested to see how it pans out.

Also figure out something interesting to do with the sides and where the tracks would be.
