So this tournament is set out as you get a 1200 point main list and two 400 point side lists.

In each game you get the 1200 point list and you can choose which 400 point list to take aswell

My army is a shooty style footslogging list with a few things to go forwards, and i have based my 2 side lists around the 6th ed game types - The Scouring and Big Guns Never Tire
that said ill show the list now.

well, here's my 2 imperial thrones:

HQ- seems okay, really dont like BA captains though, personally prefer libby.

Troops - Tacs should use plasma instead of melta for better range. You have tons of melta elsewhere.
Assaults are fine, though power fist sergeant is vulnerable to chanllenge. I'd give the fist off to the priest, then take a lightning claw/power sword instead of infernus pistol for him.

Fast- Attack bikes are always a good choice.

Sub list 1
Are you allowed to or interested in taking vanilla SM allies and have a bike captain and scoring troop bikers instead? You wont have FNP, but it's good to count as scoring. On the unit itself, same as before, either the priest or the sergeant wants a Power Sword/Lightning Claw to take challenges. Also, why not add an attack bike?

Sub list 2
One predator in your otherwise all foot army doesnt seem like a good idea. I'd go with either 3 Preds/Vindi or 3 Squads of Devs.

i dont know what to take out to get the plasma guns - which are a great idea !
also the sergeants are modelled with power fists so dont want to change that and i find they work fine, enen with challenges.
im taking the captain so i can hav a decent warlord with an invuln, libbys cant get them.... but i do like them still, i just dont want him to get killed.
i also dont know what to put in instead of the predator for 100 points because there isnt really

i also would rather the FNP on the bikes because its basically an invuln for them now and they can score in 1 game type still...

simple question ...
if the captain has a SS, why give him a power sword when he can have a Claw ?

its a converted emporers champion so its modeled that way..... i have a picture of it in my gallery...

I agree that a Libby might be a better HQ choice. Either book powers for cover saves or divination for rerolls would help your list. I'd be tempted to go divination as your Tacs can sit on an objective and get a cover save through some other means. You're set up for a shooty list rather than assault and I think the libby synergises better with what you have.

Just a small thing, but is it worth the points giving your assault sergeant a fist and an infernus pistol? I'd maybe only take one or the other just to free up another 15/25pts.

i know, but i really dont want to re model, as they already have the fists etc. i may change it if i can find / make some guys with different wepons before january

I thought that might be the case. Remodelling would be a hassle, but if it's a quite competitive tournament it might be worth doing. 3 power fists plus the 25pts you already have makes an extra 100 to play with.

I dont think this tournie will be to competitive, will be a strong list I think

Note Im doing this from a purely tactical standpoint, obviously if you cant find the models dont follow my advice...

Eh. If youre gonna take TA, take a SS, and i dont advise it anyway. Then again, I do use JPs alot so ill normally be taking that.

Yeah, Plasma>melta in this list (cuz you have so damn much...) and vehicles already dont stand a chance. As stated, if possible drop PF. Not necessary.

So you can do this? Nice. This is a good, mobile squad thats scoring and I like it - but TBH I agree with the original one, a priest and more bikers. It will be scoring in the scouring anyway, and you said thats how you divided these. FnP Bikers are ridiculous, cuz T5

Yeah its legal, its one Foc split between the 3 lists, so he can take the thunderfire in one, and captain in the other.

Maybe swap a tac squad for a second assault squad?

its more of a shooty army rather than assaulty so id rather tacs than RAS
